Just lovely; this convincingly captures the brotherly bond in all its warmth and depth, something that's been missing in canon since Season 4. The subtle but brutal description of the scene in the cage, the mention of the overt parallels between Michael and Lucifer and Dean and Sam, and to an even greater degree, the respective histories' vastly different outcomes and most of all, the way the amulet continues to symbolize Sam and Dean's bond here (and to me the way it's very much present, despite its physical absence) - all stand out as fantastic elements, and give this that much more impact. This is the kind of material that should be on screen. Beautiful stuff. :)

It started out really intense and it's far too seldom that I find stories that dare to delve into the Cage with Sam-either that or the stories really aren't as intense as they should be. Torture is not a walk through the park and stepping on glass with bare feet. And your story has such good timing, Sebe.
