ok, these upgrades are bothering me. a bigger venator with just a few more guns? expencive to redesign the base blueprint and build as it would need custom parts for repairs every time, making the supply chain long af. same with the other ships. Why would the empire of all factions, the one who uses quantity over quality every day of the week waste money on designing refits and then building the custom ships if it could probably just have built an imperator class? Then the precognition. How would the captain know that the empire would be taking away freedoms and despising the system so much to already think of rebellion? Palpatine, to most of the information deprived galaxy, did good for them at the begimning, cutting buerocracy and assuring them of security and increased military spending which was popular in the military. Then the whole clone loyalty thing. The empire, for them, is pretty much the republic as it was reorganized into an empire. Reorganization is volountary, it basically is a system change that is done peacefully. Pretty much soviet russia reforming into the russian federation. their past is still uncut deal wise. Also, what do the clones know of the ideals of the republic? they are practically slave soldiers.

So glad to see this updated, on both this site and Space Battles.

VERY well done! It is axiomatic that a battlefield scene is in fact THE single most chaotic and difficult thing to write because everything is happening at once. What I have found to be some truly EXCELLENT writing ability is the fact that you have not only portrayed the scene of a battle in space, but you have also managed to convey the utter chaos and havoc that results from such a battle while still achieving the desired results.

I don't know if others will read this review or not, but this chapter was written as well as or BETTER than some of the WWII books that I PAID for 30 years ago!

Your author's note said "Spacebattles" and I totally read it as "Space Balls." I was wondering why you would ask for our opinion on the Star Wars parody for several minutes before I reread the sentence to confirm

I know this is really late, but what "Commonwealth" was Nyx speaking of? That and a brief mention of the "Black Sun" made me immediately think of the "Imperial Commonwealth of Endeavor" from over on Spacebattles. It may be wishful thinking on my part, but a crossover would be awesome!

He lives and great update I getting a sense of someone more in this war now but who could they be. Lov the take on the red lightsabers true and we saw from Ventress just because you have red is not all bad. Its what they do then how they look we should judge.
