Beautifully written!

I've always wanted to see more interaction between Mara and Vader, and this fic only made me thirst for more!

One wonders why Vader doesn't just tell her what the Rule of Two is. Oh well.

I can so see this happening before Episode VI. It's so plausible and true to character and story.

Well done. I like the interaction between Vader and Mara. Also it fills in the sort of logic gap of the Emperor sending Mara to kill Luke, yet in the movie he wants Luke to replace Vader.

Loved your interaction between Mara and Vader. It was always assumed that Palpatine kept Mara's mission on Tatooine to kill Luke hidden from Vader, but I always suspected he knew. Interesting that the mission was a test for Vader, much to Mara's disappointment.

My two favorite Star Wars characters together and you done them both proud.

I always enjoy 'missing moments' vignettes, and this was no exception. Vader is difficult to characterize, especially when considering his interactions with individuals we don't see in the films. You did a great job of it, though; lovely story.

Nice. I love your Mara & Vader in this. I particularly liked that line near the end "Vader was proud of this boy".
