I don't really know how to break this to you, but most English people don't really use those words anymore... especially 'parky' and 'cheerio' - if we do, it's in an ironic sense.

Also, nowdays, when people say: 'You're nutters' it's another way to say that they're crazy.

I enjoyed this story, as it was quite funny to see what Americans really think of the way we speak, but unfortunately, words like this are hardly used anymore.

On the upside, you Americans have some real winners too: 'Shawty' - what the fuck is that all about? Is it even a real word? O_o

Thanks for the fic, it made me chuckle at the absurdness!

British English is pretty dang confusing. Close enough to American English that you can understand the general gist of whatever they're saying, but...okay, have you ever read a book written by a British author where they use a lot of common terms? Yeah, slightly easier than translating your average ancient Mesopotamian manuscript.

This story perfectly illustrated that point. But, yah know, the Brits probably think that we're kooky across the pond. I mean, we call biscuits cookies and lifts elevators and apartments flats. What's up with that?

This was hilarious. I thought the ending was the funniest part. Good job on this.
