(I see pink ponies and rainbows…) The 'real' version is already heartbreaking and makes my stomach turn, so this one is one to hold onto when it's dark outside and there's no hope in sight… I'm going to read your other stories now. And I’m only on chapter three Jesus. Also not only is it funny, but it’s like delightfully spontaneous. I’m usually amazing at predicting where stories are heading and what will happen next, but this one has surprised and astonished me at every turn. There is not one single thing I would change about this and I can’t wait to read the rest of it

Perfect! It is very very well-written story, the highlight being L and Light's interactions and their quite messed-up relationship. When you begin reading a chapter, you can't help but get absorbed hahah so I'm glad this is a longfic. There is nothing better than interesting longfics after all.

Really liking this so far. Too many fics have light fall in love with L and then when he gets his memories back, try to undo Kira somehow. I really like how ‘kira’ is just confused by ‘light’s feelings for L, turning it into a kind of an anti-love thing. It has been done before, but rarely done *well*. Anyway, good cliffhanger. Just binge-read the last ten chapters and this seemed like a good one to review ;)

So, this is my third time reading this fic but the first time I've made it all the way through (life always got in the way and then by the time I got back to it I couldn't remember anything and had to start over). But anyway, this fanfic is absolutely amazing and definitely one of my favorites. I love how you write Light and L's dynamic. Thanks so much for writing this!

I was going to wait until I finished the fic to review but omg I just need to gush over this amazing fic right now. I've already read "Those you stand for nothing fall for anything" so I came into this work with fairly high expections and you are exceeding all of them. I love how you've worked V so seamlessly into the Death Note narrative and given her such a developed backstory that she feels like a canon character. I can't wait to see how this story progresses as I read on!

Mello is the Supreme lord of sarcasm. I cannot even with all of this shade, and saltiness in the air. I had to stifle my laughs over six times now during this chapter. I need to take lessons from you on how to be a sarcastic prick. Mello's school of asshole-like behavior should be a thing!

I'm litterally crying for Light right now (﹏) ... I agree with Light in that L is a bastard in this charpter. He's torturing him metally unnecessary. L has successfully broken him. Poor Light he's so depressed and ansty that I want to hug him. I both love and hate L right now.
