Little Itachi is such a cutie. I love how they all took care of him and that Itachi is even allowed to remember in his last moments.

I do think Pulmonary Edema makes a lot of sense, although I hope to find another illness to fit Itachi's symptoms...cause I want to write an AU at some point, where Itachi's life is saved.

I love the attention to detail you had, especially in regards to Itachi's age, because he was 4 when he got traumatized by that horribld war and itbwouldn't have made much sense to have him be a somewhat carefree little kid after that.

As for the Sharingan, I read on Itachi's wiki page that he acrivated it at the age of 8, apparently, during a mission when on of his comrades was killed in front of him, I believe. But, Itachi's Sharingan appearing here, while he was in danger, made sense. And it doesn't have to be the fully acrivated thing either. Itachi's so young, maybe it was an one time thing and the actual awakening of his powers came later.

This last chapter - and Itachi's nightmare a few chapters back, as well as Itachi's troubles in general- made me cry. It's so tragic. I wish he didn't have to die.

This was beautiful. It’s a fleeting beauty in the sense that you only made so many chapters, but this story is beautifully and masterfully crafted to give us so many outlooks and views and so many things most people don’t think about to think about. This was an amazing read, thank you for sharing.

Great work with the story, although I don't think the future would have changed because only Itachi's body was three for a week. Everything has already happened and if Madara had killed him, his body would have simply reverted back to his actual form, without affecting the flow of time. Aside from that though...why do I always feel so sad whenever I read something about Itachi's past, I already know it and yet it(along with everything written related to it) always leaves me feeling crushed with sorrow T.T

I loved this story from beginning to end. It was well written with a strong believable non crack plot. I really like they way you did your best to get into all the different characters minds. You did a great job at it and I'm sad now that I've finished this story. Really well done. I enjoyed every minute of reading it.
