When I read your summary, my first thought was Jonathan Kent, son of Clark and Lois.

Liked the story from Mr.K's pov, a very sad one though. But it's nice that you gave us that dream which is the title of this story!

Maybe you'd like to continue this story, like how the Kents eventually met their son; having the story from Mr.K's pov, of course.
