I almost skipped over this story but I'm glad I didn't. You took a different but interesting perspective on Kirk's nature which really interested me. It was so sad and heartfelt I thought I was actually in the room watching it first hand for a moment. You're an excellent writer so never stop writing; after all, it's one of the only things that make life worth living :)

I can't really think of anything clever to say, so I'll just say that I absolutely love this fic for all sorts of reasons, but mostly because you made me love Kirk even more than I already did. You broke my heart and pieced it back together all in the space of a relatively short work. I'm intrigued and looking forward to reading more of your stories. Thank you for sharing!
