canvasghost chapter 2 . 2/11/2014 This is… there is no single word that can describe how powerfully you captured my attention on this slow accension of twisted minds. There is beauty in the darkness of this story-there is genius hidden in the the right places if you know where to look, just like Molly herself. My head feels so full, and my chest feels so heavy. I feel like I have a hundred things I want to say but I can't quite articulate when I try. I love how both children were products of their parents, and also their upbringing-almost a study in nature vs nurture. Poetically, their parents who they are modelled after grew to hate each other, but-ahh, this is going to be a bit of a ramble, and I don't want to say anything too explicitly in case someone reads these reviews before reading the actual story, but… Parallel but opposite stories. I feel the father loved the mother more, and while Molly is based on the father and Jim the mother, Jim loved Molly more. He needed her, just like the father needed the mother. But Molly and her mother were uncertain, hovering a fine line until they both realized their own emotions, but on opposite ends of the spectrum. The mother hated the father, but Molly… I think Molly realized she loved Jim in the end. And while I've re-read it again and again, I feel like there's a subtext in her conversation with Mrs. Hudson. She loved Jim, and that is why… Again, do not want to cause spoilers. Molly is a sociopath too, like her father, but she is a product of being Jim's sister, Jim's other half. Nature vs nurture. But I think what she did was out of love. A sick, twisted love that I'd love to delve into the psychology of, but I understand if this story is done. It's still beautiful if so, it still feels complete. I love how Molly took a breath, right at the end, a testament to Jim always telling her he couldn't breathe without her. Your subtly is striking and heart wrenching and this story is just so phenomenally believable and addicting. I love everything from the darkness you gave to Molly, to the tie-ins to the series, to the twisted love of two very broken siblings. I never thought I'd love a story like this, especially so strongly, but this is dark poetry at it's very finest. Thank you for this absolutely brilliant piece. |
WolfDarkfur chapter 2 . 11/1/2013 this is such a brilliant fanfic, is it finished? I hope not... but it has been awhile. :( Love their relationship and how they test each other. Don't really understand why she killed him, but loved it all the same. Definitely one of my favorite fanfics ever. |
DontCountMeOut chapter 2 . 10/19/2013 Hell yeah! Oh jeezus! I loved this! Great job. |
slpy650 chapter 2 . 10/19/2013 I absolutely adore this story! I've read your works on Teaspoon and I've always loved them so I was so excited to find this - I just got into Sherlock recently. Thank you so much for sharing your brilliance! I hope you continue writing this fandom :) |
