Well, I think it's cute and funny and great story!

I loved this story. You really brought the characters to life. The whole story felt very real and true to how Frank and Callie would feel and react in this situation.

This is my first time reading the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew fandom. My 15yr old niece and I were just talking about the books I used to read growing up and these were mu favorite. So I decided to read them here. I'm glad this is the first story I'd read here. I enjoyed this so much. This fic gave me the assurance that this fandom is worth reading. Thanks for that and I look forward to reading more of your work. In fact, I'm gonna look for some now. :D

I am a diehard Frank/Nancy shipper, but this was enough to make me admit that Callie could be good with him.

Touching on the affect Iola's death had on Frank's relationship with Callie was a great idea and I loved their reunion scene. It was just perfect. I really liked how well she understood him.

"Frank was normally quiet and thoughtful but he was taking an unusually long time to gather his thoughts."

"Frank glanced at her out of the corner of his eye before he turned his back to her and stared out into the dark sky. She recognized this as an attempt at privacy to assimilate his thoughts rather than a dismissal and waited."

Loved it. I think you did an amazing job making the story realistic and thoughtful, I could see the real characters of Frank and Callie behind your descriptions and conversations, especially when he nearly tripped on the curb in the end :)

Seriously, I cannot tell you how much I loved this. I mean, LOVED it. First of all, I am a huge Frank and Callie fan, and it seems like very few people write them together anymore. In addition, I totally agree with you that a LOT of fanfics have Callie as either disinterested, as you said, or evil or crazy in some way. I've always also asked- where did people GET that? I think that you wrote her perfectly. I see her exactly the same way- intelligent, feisty, and willing to state her opinions and to stick by them. To think she is anything otherwise, I believe, would be to dismiss the character of Frank. Why would he be with someone so... bad? I've always liked how Frank would go for a girl who was willing to work hard and who wouldn't be a shy wallflower, always willing to do what the football quarterback and highly popular Frank would ask her to. In other words, she's a lot more than eye candy, and that is why I like her.

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't say what a great WRITER you are. You have excellent description and just the perfect blend of action and insight. I hope you write more stories like this one (you know I always enjoy your work). I've also always wondered how exactly the ghostwriters kind of skipped this whole conversation that, in my opinion, must have happened if you buy into the Casefiles world. loved the romance- so well done and not too lovely dovey at all.
