Delightful, only Mrs. H would NEVER say, "Shut up" no matter the provocation. Loved John remembering her birthday, though. Typically sweet.

In general this was well written and lovely. The banter between them was perfectly timed and written, and the vocabulary suited to Sherlock's usual choices. And Mrs. Hudson's spitfire attitude really showed through, loved it.

Got a little tripped up on the "lived through the Sixties" AND the Blitz, but that's mostly because I picture Mrs. Hudson being in her sixties or so and those two references don't exactly match up to the timeframe. Say she is 62 in S1 right? She'd have been 10 or so in 1960 and not even alive during WWII during the Blitz. If you want her to have lived through the Blitz she'd have to be seventy at least and she doesn't really seem seventy.

Just a thought should you write more stories like this, and I would like it if you did because this was lovely. And I liked John's addition towards the end, you wrote a very good John here :)

That was adorable! Sherlock is...yes..Sherlock but sick, much much worse and John and Mrs Hudson have to endure it. And the slash thing, it jumping at you in the whole show.

Hah. Loved this. Definitely would hate to be around Sherlock when he's sick. He'd be moaning how his transport is failing him.

You have everyone perfectly in character, the dialogue is hilarious, the descriptions are wonderful - I can practically *watch* it! So thank you thank you thank you for this total brain candy!
