Thank you for this amazing christmas story, it was perfect for them! I loved how they were just happy beeing together and that they went to the house (with walls and a roof! Surprise, LOL). Now Im feeling all happy and warm inside :)

I reread your story this evening - I loved it the first time I read it, but I was particularly struck by one line you've written, when Meredith is talking to Teddy and Miranda:

"Had Derek not survived she would have been devastated, but she wouldn't have given up a moment she had spent with him to rid herself of the pain."

I felt I had to comment on it - it's something I've had said to me many times in the past year, and it's an incredibly, incredibly hard feeling to come to terms with when you're actually in the sort of situation Meredith is grateful she isn't in. It really struck a chord with me, and I just wanted to let you know that I thought that this part, along with the entirety of the story, was beautifully written.

I loved that Mer was able to articulate what she was thinking and why she was there to Bailey. That was a perfect explanation. I'm so glad that they spent that time together. I loved Mer's idea for Christmas in the house - very creative and fun. Awesome Christmas oneshot!
