Aww, what a sweet (and sexy) Chlexmas gift! :) Now I'm suddenly in the mood for Christmas and grand romantic (or carnal :P) gestures like Lex made at the end...I don't usually trust grand romantic gestures, but Chloe *should* trust Lex...yes, trust him and love him! Love him, I say! Ahem, I feel just the way you described on your profile page - always imagining ways for these two to get together. So many Chlex dreams in my head. :) Thank you for sharing one of yours with us! I love how a thoughtful friendly gesture of Chloe's (however reluctantly made and intended to be anonymous), makes Lex open up. And I love how you balanced the schmoopiness and heartwarming stuff, with suspicion and sarcasm and all these humorous moments... poor height-challenged Chloe, when Lex holds the gift over his head, out of her reach, and taunts her... an amusing visual, although I felt mad and frustrated right along with Chloe when he did that. :P And then the bitterness when Lex imagined all the unfriendly/preachy "gag" gifts that she might've given him ...my heart went out to Lex, as it always does, for expecting the worst from people/expecting other people to expect the worst of *him*. One of many reasons why I wanted Chlex to happen on the show... Lex needs someone like Chloe in his life. They could both help eachother in many ways. But I should reign myself in here, before I write an essay! I enjoyed your non-Chlex moments too...I laughed at Chloe warning Lois not to zap herself with the stun gun cell phone. :P I've gotta wonder if there was a subconscious wish there on Chloe's part, when she chose that gift for her cousin. ;) I don't *really* care if Lois & Clark get together, but I do hate male-magnet Lana, and so I took vengeful glee in their growing attraction/mistletoe kiss behind Lana's back (I'm evil.) And I'm always happy to read a fic like yours where Lex vehemently denies wanting Lana, and has the good sense/better taste to want Chloe instead. Thanks for helping us pretend the worst of Smallville never happened, and giving us this glimpse into a much better alternate universe. Enjoyable writing style too - come back and write some more? :)

Omgee! This is awesome! The whole plot was very believable,and characterizations were spot on. It was totally a lovely surprise to hear Lex confess his secret to Chloe, but absolutely plausible. Thanks so much for writing! I always thought those too could have ignited amazing chemistry on the show if they'd had the chance. :)
