I totally agree. All this time I thought I was the only one who noticed it! And the plot. Seriously? Ciel and Sebastian isn't that nice. They didn't even like Alois even though he had a sad past and a Demon Butler.

There are way too much Mary Sue's in the Kuroshitsuji fandom right now. God, it's like nobody could write decent OC stories these days. Although there are a few really good OC stories, here, in the Kuro fandom.

Err, yeah, I shouldn't have probably said that since my own fic has a mary sue OC -_-

But anyway, I still agree with you. Too much of those mary sues for my taste.

I must say, I'm disappointed in this section of fanfiction. And here I was looking forward to some good Kuroshitsuji stories... obviously not. All of the ones I have looked at so far have the same plot or the same kind of OC's. It makes me feel ashamed to be an OC fan :/

This is very well written, and I love the mary-sue you used, haha. Almost all of them are like that, when I look back on stories. Its ridiculous.

Ciel may not be head over heels for Elizabeth, but he does care for her. And Sebastian... isn't he almost incapable of emotion? The only romantic incident I can think of is when he slept with that woman in the circus (gah, I forgot her name), and that was for information.

Hopefully, the story I plan on writing is worthy of the manga.

YES. Just YES to all of this. Awesome story! The names and the whole bit were the prime example of what I keep seeing in stupid Mary Sues. Not only that, but you also pointed out the Ciel and Elizabeth thing. I'm very happy with that. :)

I'm getting so annoyed with all the _xOC stories I find in the latest stories for Kuroshitsuji. I stick with SebaCiel, because you can develop the relationship between them. Sebastian is all Ciel has, and Ciel is all Sebastian cares about/wants, even though it's for his soul. And they always start with "a girl with a sad past comes to the manor and Ciel lets her in and then they develop a relationship with this character". First off, why would Ciel let a random, filthy stranger in his house..? Maybe let her heal up and send her off, or get her to a hospital, but it's like... really annoying.

FOR EXAMPLE:

"Hi. My name is going to be something long, pretty, and similar to Ciel or Phantomhive. I am going to be pretty and be all sad so Ciel will turn over like a fat, lazy cat to food, and then he will love me. Or perhaps, his super sexy butler will stroll along, and I'll be a spinoff of Maylene, but he'll like me back. Then, we will flirt, and he will imply a kiss with me. Then we will somehow be together, and it will all be perfect. Sincerely, OC."

Honestly, Sebastian would probs eat her or not like her at all. Despite the fact I support SebaCiel, demons are not supposed to feel feelings like love, just hunger and lust, if I am not mistaken. Like, if I was to write an OC story, it would not have any relationships with any character. Maybe some flirting for humor, but otherwise, no.

It's just ... annoying.

Totally agree, I always avoid stories with an OC because its so frustrating. It isn't just in the kuroshitsuji fandom but everywhere in the fanfiction universe! However there are the rare stories that have awesome OCs but so far in the Kuroshitsuji fandom, I have yet to find any worthwhile reading. There are even certain tests on the net to check if a character is mary sue-ish or not.

There is seriously a huge amount of OCs around the Kuroshitsuji fandom. The story plot often revolves around a girl who got drifted to the Phantomhive mansion... then things happen... then Sebastian/Ciel fell in love. I hate it. (NO OFFENCE!)

I actually ignore these. It justs pains me to see half of the updated stories on the archive of Kuroshitsuji is filled with *insert Kuroshitsuji character here*xOC. And because of your story, you are now my hero.
