| MorganHopes chapter 16 . 3/29/2011 I am SO disturbed by how crazy Octavian is. It's gross. Which of course means great writing :) The POV changes are getting a bit too - frequent? It's nice to have Octavian being crazy and Katniss outside the games to tell us what else is going on, but maybe use her POV to describe what she sees Kale doing, so that we don't have his internal monologue as well? It just seems like things could get a bit cluttered. As for the fears - sounds cool, but maybe some of the other tributes could have fears that aren't animals? Kind of like the jabberjays that repeated their loved one's screams in the Quarter Quell in Catching Fire? Or the lizard-men that smelled like roses in MJ? The sounds and smells that the contestants fear could be as strong as any animals that they do.. or just something like water, maybe someone could be forced towards water and drown? If they haven't been raised around water, it's quite likely that a tribute wouldn't be able to swim, maybe a tribute could observe this and drown another? I'm getting carried away, but definitely interested in how this progresses. |
