Excellent characterization for Bumi. Hopefully Toph will succeed him! :-D

I was always curious what would happen to Bumi. He was by far the best character in the whole series, closely followed by Sokka :). I enjoyed this very much!

Wow. I expected this to be funny, and it was, but I didn't expect it to be quite so moving at the end. Bumi and Wu (Wumi?) struck sparks off each other in their clash of wits, and Bumi's PoV was both entertaining and sounded just right for him. Bumi's skepticism and Wu's acceptance of the mysteries finally converged, with Wu taking action instead of simply foretelling while Bumi, beyond action, waits for the inevitable. (I hope there were other visitors beside Wu, though. I can't imagine Aang, for instance, leaving the bedside of the last surviving friend from his pre-war life unless there was some emergency.)

In a way I think Wu and Bumi represent the two sides of the Earth Kingdom psyche I discussed in my EK culture essay, stability and dynamism. This story shows both the tension between those two halves and their harmony. Short yet poignant descriptions like Wu letting the world bend her back a little or looking to the future really added effect to the ending. Good job!
