JDominique37 chapter 1 . 4/23/2015 I love this! I think their relationship is a really unique one and you've captured it wonderfully. |
wakeupinlondon chapter 1 . 7/22/2014 This is such an amazing fic, thank you so much for writing it. Very sad, very IC, probably the best thing I've read about this couple. Could I have your permission to translate your Durarara! fics 'sepia tone' and 'ouroboros' into Russian? I'll send you the link when it's done. |
Clock chapter 1 . 4/2/2013 Amazing fic here! Short, but very bittersweet. It's rare to see a good Saki/Kida fic. |
damienne is dead chapter 1 . 5/18/2012 Holy shit, this was incredible :. I am a HUGE fan of drabbles and I have never seen anything so well done. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful this is. This is without a doubt the best Masaki fic I've ever read, and probably the best Masaomi fic, too. The characterization is spot on, the wording is melancholy and beautiful. It's an extremely relatable story that hits very close to home, and it's truly effective at showing both the sorrow and the beauty and joy of their relationship and situation. Also, bonus points for actually knowing that his first name is Masaomi, not Kida. I hate it when other people make that mistake -_-. Never stop writing. Seriously. |
AtomicKokoro chapter 1 . 11/1/2011 Wow. That was kinda neat. The last sentence caught me off guard. This story wasn't what I was expecting AT ALL. It was really interesting, catching Masaomi in a different state than everyone expects him to be. Very well written. Very, very interesting. |
LilyandIvy chapter 1 . 3/5/2011 Awwww... -shakes away MasaomixSaki love so an unbiased review is possible- I love the way you describe their life, and his pain. And I love the way you know how the tiny things that Saki sees add up to more than what the rest of the world would know about Kida (like the "one second too long" or him not being able to sleep without her there.) I didn't read the manga, so I don't know if they really are "eternal tourists" after they leave, but if it was an original idea (as opposed to them settling down in a city other than Tokyo) than you know how to make very good metaphors. Cheers! |
Huai-Ai chapter 1 . 3/4/2011 This is wonderful. ;u ; I alomst cried. |
great gospel chapter 1 . 2/14/2011 A hauntingly beautiful, wonderfully amazing piece. In a mere 500 words, you spoke volumes on the relationship of Saki and Masaomi. Well done, and keep writing! Sora(: |
star-gazing-in-LA chapter 1 . 1/16/2011 I got butterflies in my stomach when I read this. I love it. Especially the part where it says he can't sleep without her near him. 3 |
MillyAshfordFan chapter 1 . 1/2/2011 I love this, too. So bittersweet. You are a master at prose, my friend. :) |
Chikku-Chikku chapter 1 . 12/30/2010 I have to say, I haven't read anything like this in awhile. It's such a nice and refreshing change from all the jumbled, almost meaningless words in some other fanfictions (the barrages of 'I love you's', too fast relationship developments, and smut that usually comes with pairings in this fandom *coughs at Shizaya*). This one-shot says a lot more with a few simple words than a whole 20 chapter story does. "If memories can simply be transferred into data, erased on a whim, then what's the point of living?" I love this line so much. It just gets to me, for some reason. I don't even know why. Maybe because it's so true. Maybe because it just echoes of nostalgia, makes you think of a time when everything was simple and carefree, when people weren't so dependent on 'data' and actually cared more for others than themselves. When people struggled to actually preserve memories, and cherish them, or else they would lose all the precious things that they strove to remember and keep alive within them. It kinda makes me a bit sad. Just like this entire fic. It's short, gets straight to the point, and is just really beautiful. "She likes to think she can see his soul through the camera lens, and is not sure she likes what she sees. In the end, she loves him more because of it." One of the sweetest, more memorable lines I've ever read. To me, it says, 'I still love you, no matter what you've done, what you're doing, or what you've become, or already am. Rather, seeing all of these faults, I love you even more.' I don't know, maybe I'm interpreting it wrong C: but that, somehow, really explains their relationship to me. I'm not a big fan of this pairing (I don't know very much about them from the anime), but I really love the way you portray them. I enjoyed this story a lot (sorry if I keep repeating this, and holy cows, this review turned out to be so long and rant-like D8 I'm sorry!). It's just, in other words, really beautiful. P.S. When I first saw your username, it reminds me of 'The Host' XD Like, the names that the Souls have and stuff... Sorry if you have no idea what I'm talking about Y_Y |
Caitlin Crisis chapter 1 . 12/30/2010 I truly love this. It is very well written. This couple is so adorable, yet not as many people favor them. Thank you for writing this. x CC |
