This is a very interesting start to the story. I really wish I'd be able to read the character/relationship developments in later chapters, but since it's been about two years, I don't really expect it. Either way, great job! Your writing style is fantastic!

This is really interesting.
I've read a lot of your stories so far.. And this reminds me of a Kuroshitsuji story I read where Ciel's parents think he tried to commit suicide, so they send him to a ward.. But of course, this is Durarara.
I'm excited to see Shizuo's backstory. Did he commit suicide out of guilt- did he perhaps kill Vorona, or hurt someone? And Izaya as well.. It makes me wonder what you have in store. I'm very excited and I hope you update soon. You've easily become one of my favorite Durarara writers for your intricate story plots and great way of weaving in psychology with Shizuo and Izaya.
