Please update! This story is so different, and has such an interesting plot! And I really want to know what happens after this. Do Yuki and Zero finally get back together, does Yuki tell him the complete truth and that she still loves him? The questions are killing me, I'm telling you!

I actually experienced this feeling once some time ago. Some times we just make excuses to justify why it is happening instead of facing the crude reality, until we eventually realize it isn't like that at all. You did a really good job portraying that feeling there!

Please update! This is just so good, words cannot describe how much I love this story! I love the plot, love the way you brought the characters to life, and I really want to find out what happens next! Hope Zero and Yuki end up together!

The other night, for some reason, I recalled the story of Vampire Knight. It's been years since I read the manga. Suddenly, I thought to check in the hopes of sating a random urge to see one of my favorite romantic pairings together again. Generally I will search through the rated M category to find mature, sophisticated authors, knowing that I will have to wade through a sea of smut and desperately horny writers to uncover gems like this story. (Though there is nothing wrong with smut, it is just not my cup of tea).
Honestly, I'm not even sure what to say to convey how incredible this fic is. I've read it through, but I came back to it just so I could review. Even if you haven't completed it, and it seems you've been on hiatus for some time now, thank you for giving us 29 tragic, wonderful, lovely, beautiful chapters. Your style is unique and refreshing. You treat the characters with so much respect and honesty. This story was brutal. Typically, I won't subject myself to the allure of a story that has been neglected for so long, because I'm always left disappointed that there is not more of it to feast on in the end (haha, I like my closure). But like Zero's love for Yuki, no matter how bad it hurt to endure some of it knowing it hasn't been updated in about a year, the good moments made the whole experience worth while. I hope you don't take my mention of your hiatus as an offense, I myself have abandoned my fanfiction (though I do not possess the same level of skill as you, and I hope unlike me, you intend to return). I understand, as I suspect most artists do, that life gets in the way and that priorities change, as do interests.
You are a master of your craft. I hope you know what a powerful weapon you wield. The pain Zero and Yuki felt.. I felt it too. My heart actually hurt for them, for people who do not even exist. I remember in one of your chapters you claimed to have felt the same degree of heartache before, perhaps that is why the writing is so potent. You painted such a vivid, tangible picture, it was like their senses were my own. The original manga did not even begin to touch on the reaction this story elicited from me. I am so glad that I stumbled across this. I tried to find other fics to read after I finished this one, but after you've had the most glorious champagne, a beer simply doesn't cut it. You've spoiled us with your talent. Wherever you are, I honestly hope you are doing well and that you one day feel compelled to complete this miracle of a fanfic.

This was an amazing chapter- I was on edge the whole time I was reading it. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Also just a slight criticism but are we ever going to find out what actually went down between Yuuki and Zero in the past? Like how did Zero find out about Yuuki's true form, why did Yuuki leave him etc. Hope all will be revealed soon :)
