Kitty Rasputin chapter 28 . 7/17/2015 I have to admit that I was not expecting a whole lot when I ventured into the Dukes of Hazzard fanfiction, but I am so glad that I decided to check it out anyway. I read "On the Flip Side" first and found myself completely enthralled by it. Then, I started reading "Running", not realizing that you were the author of both of them. You write exceptionally well, bringing these characters new depths, but holding so close to their personalities from the show that it is hard to differentiate between the two of them. At times, I could hear the voices of the actors, envisioning their exact tone of voice or the expressions on their faces from Luke's semi-annoyed looks whenever Bo is doing something reckless or Cooter's crazy grin that leaves people wondering whether he really is loony. You may say that you are not a fanfiction writer, but you most certainly are. You just happen to have honed that talent specifically to bring the Duke boys (and the rest of Hazzard with them) to life. I look forward to finding new stories from you in the future. |
Guest chapter 19 . 12/26/2014 Put Daisy in there in vietnam with luke . |
1356-2478 chapter 28 . 9/15/2014 Goodness, out of all the Marine stories I've read, this is by far the best. Keep up the good work! |
BoandHutchFan chapter 1 . 4/10/2014 I really enjoyed reading this. It told the whole story about how Luke was in the Marines, and about how he was affected by the war when he came home. EXCELLENT! Kepp writing! I love to read your stories! |
nehhg chapter 28 . 6/11/2012 i just read "running" and it about broke my heart. it was nice to run across something that rang true, not just to the characters, but in it's entirety. thank you. |
bluesunVM chapter 28 . 5/11/2012 I've been really enjoying your stories. Thanks for writing them. |
HazzardHusker chapter 28 . 1/23/2012 Perfect ending to a great story. I didn't even get past the author's notes without cracking up. So you think the balladeer might have gotten into the moonshine, huh? That was hilarious with the boys using the horn and lights, and Bo taunting Rosco as they went through the roadblock. I really liked the last couple of paragraphs especially. YOu really summarized Luke's experiences well while making him a Duke from Hazzard County. And Bo telling him to have fun. Just terrific. |
HazzardHusker chapter 27 . 1/22/2012 Wow! I didn't see that one coming at all! I imagined Luke had a flashback when he heard Bo get snared, but I didn't see Luke pointing his gun at him! Good twist. I really liked the end. That was long overdue. Now they can go forward and be the Duke boys we love:) Clever chapter:) (And I'm almost caught up:) |
HazzardHusker chapter 26 . 1/20/2012 I'm glad that Bo is out of school so everyone, including Cooter, can stop asking him if he has any homework! (LOL) I'm loving this story. What an appropriate rite of passage for a moonshiner's family. Very heartfelt. |
HazzardHusker chapter 25 . 1/10/2012 I love the boys' interaction in this story. And Uncle Jesse's never ending wisdom:) I especially liked the last part when the boys were searching for car parts together. But that wasn't the right thing to say to Luke - that Bo wanted to join the Marines Reserve - not after he went so Bo wouldn't have to! |
HazzardHusker chapter 24 . 12/14/2011 That was neat how Uncle Jesse took Luke's dog tags promising to take care of them for him. It's going to take a while to re-adjust to being back home and to leave things behind but I'm sure Bo will happily put him in situations that will accomplish just that! |
HazzardHusker chapter 23 . 12/11/2011 Well, I agree with Uncle Jesse about letting Bo make up his own mind as to whether he wants to play basketball or not. If he doesn't want to - he just doesn't want to. That was cute - with the dog for Christmas! Great gift. Uncle Jesse is right again. People need sleep. Maybe he can tire Luke out so much that he'll just flop into bed and be out? Hope he can get some z's. |
HazzardHusker chapter 22 . 12/3/2011 What a perfect chapter! You couldn't ask for a better written homecoming for Luke, even if his Falcon is history. Great portrayal of Bo confessing every little sin he's committed since Luke has been gone working up to the big one:) And what a great scene at the end! Definitely one of my favorite chapters ever. |
HazzardHusker chapter 21 . 11/29/2011 Wow! I so did not see this one coming! Luke's going home! Yipee:) I loved this chapter, especially how Uncle Jesse went from finger poking to soothing an upset Bo. Can't wait for the homecoming. PS - did something happen that you've disabled your private messaging? I can't reply to you later message. It sent it back to me:) |
HazzardHusker chapter 20 . 11/26/2011 Oh no! Bo wrecked the Falson! Whatever will they do now? This is an interesting mess he's made. Daisy was right - he's reckless and worrying Uncle Jesse when he's got enough to worry about! Can't wait to see what happens next:) |
