I, like you, feel sorry for Rayfell. Since the time her true nature was revealed, I've thought she really got the worst of the deal in this "Barry" situation, for while Rayflo suffers greatly due to Barry's obsessive nature, he is able to fight, and in so doing, he is able to control the situation, at least for a short time. Rayfell has no such luxury, since it is her very nature that Barry has corrupted. Thank goodness she has Cheryl.

Your story is very well done, in that it highlights Rayfell's sitaution in a way that allows us to clearly see her suffering, and also see how vital Cheryl is to her existence. It also highlights the differences between Rayflo and Rayfell through Rayfell's thoughts, showing that she can clearly see the differences, which makes her situation even worse. (Poor thing!)

I really enjoyed this...you gave us a marvelous insight into that first meeting between Rayflo and Chris, and showed that our favorite vampire still knows what it means to love, to be human.

Update when you can, and I'll make sure I read it! Yes, the manga volumes come out faaar too slowly-it's almost painful. (But in a good way, I guess, since they eventually *do* come out.)
