mdxify chapter 1 . 9/30/2019
I used to read this story every year at the High Holidays. Stopped many years ago for some unremarkable reason.
I remembered this story today, Rosh Hashana, and reread. This story is as beautiful and moving as ever.
Fantasyenabler chapter 1 . 4/22/2015
This is so beautiful. All of your West Wing stories are lovely, actually, but this one particularly so. Your Toby voice is amazing, and it moves me to tears time and time again.

Because of this, I've recced you over here

I know you've already been recced all over the place, but I just wanted you to know that I linked your work because it's something I never want to lose.

Your lovely story has moved me beyond what words could possibly describe. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Springrain chapter 1 . 8/28/2009
Beautiful story. I love how each confession fits their subject, and their perfect reactions to Toby's humility.
adpacaus chapter 1 . 4/8/2009
What a moving story. The confession with CJ was really sweet. And the scene with Leo and the President quite powerful. A really interesting topic that was perfectly executed. This is only the second story of yours I've read, but I now realize I'm going to have to read them all. :-)
CPP chapter 1 . 4/2/2002
After reading this incredibly touching fic I checked out your page and realized that you had written "son's prodigal and other" and "collateral" both of which I also found very moving and enjoyable. You are a very gifted writer.

SMKLegacy chapter 1 . 3/16/2002
This is one of the very best fanfics I have ever read - of any kind. The characterizations are exquisite, the use of the prayer true to intent, and the feeling of atonement sincere. I also appreciate the well-written prose and tight editing that obviously went into this story. Thank you.
Susan chapter 1 . 3/14/2002
This is a beautiful story. It's going to be hard explaining why I am sobbing at my desk. You have the characters down well...showing up to give Toby a ride home (without a car) is such a Sam thing to do. I could picture the scenes with Toby and the other characters as well. Bravo!
Neva Laurie chapter 1 . 3/14/2002
I've read this piece twice on your page, but when I saw it here, I just had to read it again. This is, simply put, beautiful and eloquent. It is probably the best Toby story I've seen. Your characterizations are moving, the interactions are touching, funny, and very true. I could gush on forever, but I won't fill up your whole feedback page with this. In short, this is wonderful. Keep writing, and I'll definitely keep reading.
