Wow. I'm surprised the golden dragons and mazoku both didn't barge in on the birth. They must've been afraid of the sky falling, the seas rising, the earth quaking and other supernatural phenomena concerning little Filia. Even Zelas wasn't there for the birth! I was expecting some sort of terrible interruption with Xelloss having to leave Filia's side and having to defend the place and the witches around his family.

It's true that Xelloss does love Filia and his daughter. Otherwise, would he have done all this for them if he didn't? Some people just want to hear you say the L-word though.

Zelas, in this fic, is a lot more generous than I thought she'd be. She has to be the smartest one of Shabranigdo's ilk, waiting it out and seeing what kind of child Xelloss and Filia would have. Yeah, the golden dragons would be too stupid to steal the kid, and anyways, they shot their chances of having Filia on their side. The monsters may have a better chance (Zelas, anyways), but Xelloss is not someone to mess with. It's a good thing that Beastmaster is willing to let Xelloss off for a little bit. I have to admire her savvy in all this. She is the closest one to having the power of a child of both shinzoku and mazoku on her side. The dragons would do well to learn from this, but that will take several centuries or a millennia.

If you write another part to this, I will gladly read it! Thank you for this story!

At least Filia is getting good treatment. Will the witches change their attitudes when they realize that they are hosting one of the most powerful mazoku under one of the mazoku lords? How will they defend themselves from a bunch of golden dragons and demons coming to see the child?

Xelloss getting Filia a ring was utterly romantic! Who thought he would've had it in him? Certainly not Filia!

These two are definitely not the stereotypical, lovey-dovey type of married couple. They're a bickering couple that lobbies insults as their way of romantic poetry. I feel bad for Filia that she had to wash all dishes that Lina and Gourry had eaten off of, but at least she was well-protected from her own kind and Xelloss'. And of course, their rhythm is still going strong.

These two are such a unique pairing, there needs to be more stories like this.

Xelloss being told off by a bunch of elderly, mortal women (never mind them being witches!) was nothing short of hilarious! Highly amusing, them treating him like a foolish boy who had knocked up the girl next village over...and not as the fourth most powerful monster in the world (the general-priest of Zelas Metallium, too! Not that they know this...but if they did, would they care?)! Wonderful. Filia would love them, and she'd be taken in and adopted happily along with her child and Val.

This is great! Can't wait to read the next chapter.

Of course, they're in their human forms, so it has to be possible. For Xelloss to be so utterly gobsmacked like this...is delicious. Dragons are mortal beings, and while they live much longer lives than humans, are yet still capable of sexual reproduction. As for monsters, well...Xelloss is a rather powerful mazoku, so shapeshifting himself into his human form like that is definitely something. Getting Filia pregnant while they are both in human form can't be impossible.

Perhaps L-sama had a hand in it?

It's so sweet and noble of Xelloss to take this demon-dragon pregnancy seriously. Despite what Filia thinks, he cares a lot more for her and the family. Also, it's a very informed decision of Xelloss' to credit Filia with raising the kids and not taking after him. If his own child was disloyal to him, I imagine that he or Zelas would have to kill it, no matter what Filia protests. So yes, hide Filia and the kids away from both dragons and monsters; let humans raise it, even.

In terms of going to someone for help, well, they could always go to Seyruun (for shelter; can't count on just Amelia and Zelgadis to ward off the dragons and mazoku) or Sairaag (where Sylphiel is; but then, they'd have to get Lina and Gourry to help them).

This is so fascinating; I can't wait to see when Filia has the kid! (Hopefully, Zelas and the other mazoku and the dragons won't try to steal/kill it right after it's born)

I must say that a meeting between Filia Lia and Lord Beast Master would be something else to read! I can just imagine Xello's discomfort now, haha. If not a sequel, maybe you'd consider writing a oneshot :)
All in all, this was a marvelous read (along with the original story) and I couldn't stop reading till I had finished. You are by far one of my favorite, and most talented authors, on this site!
