I like it... but where did he shoot himself? If he was so intent on dying right then it doesn't make sense why he would shoot himself anywhere other than his head, and clearly that didn't happen as he was conscious & talking after. I thought maybe he didn't actually shoot himself but I reread that it said "...his breath stuttered to a halt." so also impossible. Well, w.e. I enjoyed the read. :)
