I've read,RE-READ this particular segment of the FltCapt. Jason Tynen, and his consort, Capt. V'Lar, of the USS Valkyrie. Please, end the tortuous tease, and let's see what happens next. Will Starfleet, and the Klingons, shake up the Minbari Grey Council, and by extension, the Minbari's Vorlon Overlords? And now that the Vorlons, have begun to 'aid' their Minbari 'vassals', with technologies that bolster their capabilities against the somewhat superior capabilities of the StarFleet, and Klingon militaries. Will the Elder Races, of the UFoP, make 'THEIR' considerable presence, felt?

It is nice to see you back in the game with a pretty exciting chapter. I agree with the other reviewers about the attack using the rules established by the writers of The Thin Veneer (even though, in the movies, Starfleet and the Klingons could fire and hit targets while still at warp speed). What I really like, though, was how the Starfleet captain's views on the battle are sober and solemn while Krilka's views are so different and so...Klingon. I love that she does not look at things like a Federation-raised Klingon like Worf on STNG. Great chapter to bring the novel up-to-date!

I absolutely LOVE THIS STORY! I am re-reading the earlier chapters. It is just fall off the chair HILARIOUS, to read the 'agonies' of the heart, that the Secretary of Defense, of Earth Alliance is enduring! Here's the poor woman, she sees "THE MAN of HER DREAMS", the potential "LUST of HER LIFE!", literally materialize right in front of her! She's just barely able to 'contain' herself! She's practically already NAMING THE CHILDREN! When she agonizingly learns that the POTENTIAL FATHER of HER FUTURE CHILDREN, IS ALREADY MARRIED! And just to up the level of her 'suffering', HE BROUGHT THE 'WIFE'! And 'she' is to use an old Earth expression, "TOTALLY SMOKIN HOT!"

So from that moment on. Where V'Lar is concerned, the EA Secretary of Defense, decides to avoid the rush and just start "hating her now!". I can just see the EA President, having a sit down, with the EA SECDEF, and having that long overdue "mother daughter talk". "Now Jo! You're just gonna have to get over the fact, that some other woman, got to the man of your dreams, first!
