Sorry to draw your attention to a fic that you wrote so long ago, but a friend recommended this story to me a while back and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading it.

There aren't many fics out there about Clive & Layton after the events of Lost Future (the subject I'm most eager to find fics for) and I daresay that this by far my favourite so far. Your choice to focus solely on their interactions with each other and not anything that happened in-between felt well-suited, because of the sort of conversations that they have. I was frequently impressed at how in-character they both felt, especially since you made it clear that sometimes Layton could be just as stubborn, and even cruel, as Clive could be.

Also, you did make me think for a moment that there wasn't going to be a happy ending, but I'm very glad there was. Thank you for posting this fic.
