Poor Burt. I remember my older brother's reaction when I first asked him what a 'fag' was. Except I was in 5th grade and ten years old at the time, my brother nearly punched a hole in our wall.

*sniffs* Oh, that was just precious beyond words...

I just LOVE how you capture Burt's POV as well as the father/ son relationship. I really look forward to some more pure good Burt/ Kurt interaction in season 3. Burt truly is a wonderful father to say the least.

Very sweet. I particularly liked the second half, all the stuff about the picture and the tea party. Love Burt musing Kurt's hair and little Kurt getting all excited about picking his father some suitable clothes because "flannel absolutely won't cut it."

I absolutely adore Kurt's dad, and I think you have captured him very well here. Kurt also. I can see something like this happening to Kurt as a little kid. I loved what his dad said about not letting anything anyone said change him. I tell my daughter the same thing when kids at school tease her about the clothes she like to wear. Her ability to express herself through her clothing is very "Kurt-esque" and I have used him as an example for her so she can see that there are other people who do the same. Great story!

Aww that was incredibly sweet. I adore the relationship between little Kurt and his father. It was heartwarming when Burt asked to do another tea party, and Kurt's enthusiam topped it off. Loved your story! I hope you write more fanfics like this![:
