Reviews for The heavy burden of command
SaraiEsq chapter 1 . 9/7/2014
Nicely done.
Marie1964 chapter 1 . 12/17/2010
That was a terrible thing for the men to have to experience, concerning losing a man so young. I can understand why Hogan would be beating himself up over it, but glad that LeBeau decided to talk some sense into him.

Hehehehe! I especially loved the end! I won't give away the end for anyone but it was definitely the best part. :-) Thank you for such a sweet ending to the story!

I have to say that I love your stories. They are wonderfully written and I love the friendship in them. I hope you will do one with Newkirk next.
snooky-9093 chapter 1 . 12/13/2010
I absolutely loved this! The ending was fabulous. I loved how Hogan volunteered to join in with LeBeau. (don't want to give anything away). I think his reaction to LeBeau's comments at first was spot-on. And I appreciate how Hogan turned around. Great job!
St PA chapter 1 . 12/13/2010
You have done well with all your stories. Seems you are telling a tale of how each team member faces/experiences a trial specific to his personality and how another member of the team assists him using that other team member's own strength(s). Looking forward to what Newkirk is to face and who is going to be his "friend in need." My guess is Col Hogan will be the friend.
ColHogan chapter 1 . 12/12/2010
Very tragic story yet very touching portrait of Hogan's guilt over the loss of an innocent on a mission. And LeBeau showed such courage and compassion by not only showing how much he and the men care about Hogan and refusing to give up on him, but willing to stand up to the Colonel while at his lowest point.
jodm chapter 1 . 12/12/2010
An extremely powerful story, with the depth of Hogan's grief and feelings of guilt leading him into depression. I admire LeBeau's courage in knowing-and saying-just the right thing to shock him out of it. And having Hogan join LeBeau on laundry duty was a great closing touch. Thanks for posting this one.

Tragic and touching picture of loss and guilt. Very well done.
Sgt. Moffitt chapter 1 . 12/12/2010
My heart was breaking for Hogan in this story. How courageous and compassionate for LeBeau to stand up to him!
