I'm actually writing a Glorfindel vs. Balrog scene for my story "When My Life Begins Anew," myself. Did you know that Tolkien actually wrote the scene out, but it did not appear in the Silmarillion? You can find it in the Book of Lost Tales 2. Just thought I'd pass that along...

Poor Glorfindel *sniff* If I hadn't been at school when reading that part of the Silmarillion, I would have cried. But thank you for writing this, his part was far too brief, and your fic makes up for it a little.
