MadameMCM chapter 1 . 7/31/2015 Wow... |
Maetch chapter 1 . 11/25/2012 Poor Shepard... Losing a kid isn't easy to think about, but the way it happened in this case must really hurt. Good story, though. |
Jody Godric Shepard chapter 1 . 4/24/2011 I was very pleased to come across this fanfic, as I play a MaleShep Infiltrator (modded for Kaidan as a Love Interest) turned Sentinel in ME2 and had always contemplated RP reasons why Cerberus would augment the Commander with biotic abilities. I wanted to play as a Red Mage-style jack of all trades, master of none in Mass Effect 2, but never thought of such a creative explanation as you did for why the biotic change would occur. Case in point, I'd always chalked my MaleShep turning biotic as the result of basic pro-biotic beliefs by Cerberus, and who better to enlist in a transhuman biotic enhancement than their newest hero and asset, no? Your explanation for how a FemShep could have been turned biotic accidentally was very and poses a lot of interesting questions. The story behind it feels more organic/believable and demonstrates even the shortcomings of the uber organization that Cerberus is supposed to be. My only question would be, who was the father? And is Shepard now a chimera, made of multiple people or at least genetic codes, so to say? Even... *potential spoilers* Reaper-like perhaps? And as Leah's-Other-Side pointed out, your observation about the psychological implication for Cerberus's schematic designs for the SR2 Normandy were very succinctly noted. Nice discovery. Great one-shot story. |
Leah's-Other-Side chapter 1 . 12/8/2010 An interesting idea you have there. I like the whole concept of this one-shot, particularly how Cerberus put Miranda's office where Shepard's old room was to show dominance and how she was pregnant when she died. Good job of explaining Shepard's newfound biotic skills. Great job! :) |
Gone Rampant chapter 1 . 12/8/2010 Ypu know, I've always wondered how Shepard could go from, I don't know, a Solider to a Sentinel. And this is the saddest case of that. I'm not sure if a sequel is possible, but consider it, because this was so emotional. |
