Definitely a good story but still hoping for the epilogue to be posted.

Man, it's been a looooong time since this fic was finished and a similarly long time since I read it for the first time. I've got to say it was a really enjoyable little romance story that built well of the established canon of Dark Dawn (Well, excluding the whole cliffhanger thing at the end of the game). I especially liked how you made things start off awkward between the two of them due to the drunken kiss and then progress amorously as Amiti contemplates how he loves Karis while trying to separate his feelings from his political motives and Karis coming to realize that she doesn't feel at home when she's not with Amiti. It's simple, but effective. You captured the rest off the cast quite nicely as well and they make a good ensemble, constantly poking fun at each other but also showing that they genuinely care about each other. I believe you showcased their individual personalities quite well as well, and actually managed to inject some into Himi and Matthew as they were kind of shortchanged in that deparment kind of like a couple of other Earth Adepts we know. The Spirit/Soulshipping moments were also greatly appreciated as well, especially for me since I ship the two. The "war" scenario was also nicely realized and the subterfuge on Amiti's part was pretty good, though with practically all the countries of Angara on his side, I'm pretty sure he could have won with brute force anyway, but whatever. I'm not complaining.

All in all, it was a really solid fic that's plenty enjoyable to read and I'm glad to carry it in my favorites. It's just a shame about that epilogue. It's been so long, I'm doubting you're going to return to this story. Oh well, I suppose there's always a chance, so I'll keep following till it happens. Or until one of our accounts, or the story itself, is deleted. One or the other.
