Vampire fic. Interesting. It's not bad so far, but the plot needs a little work. (Is Sasuke going to be locked up the whole time?) Whatever you decide to do, the one thing I'm hoping for out of this story is that Sasuke doesn't become a vampire in the end.

The whole human becoming a vampire so he and his immortal lover can be together 5ever thing is pretty cliche. Almost every vampire story does it, but it would especially be a shame in this case. After everything vampires did to his family, becoming a vampire, even if it's to be with Naruto, should be the absolute last thing Sasuke would ever want.

Naruto is the only "nice" vampire in the story. The rest are pretty much evil (as they should be). If the norm for being a vampire is to be a blood-sucking murderer, then so there's no reason why Sasuke should want to be one of them, not after what he's personally suffered. So my vote is for anything but a vampire x vampire ending. (Vampire x human is okay; LOL, find a way to turn Naruto back into a human and make it human x human; or kill one/both off.)

I'll keep an eye out for updates. :D

Yay! After several days of reading, I finally made it through all of your stories. It was an entertaining several days, thank you very much. :)

So I decided to save the multi-chap for last just because it was technically the longest. It's hard to talk about an unfinished fic because the story is in-progress and things I like right now might change later on, just as things I don't like right now might also get explained later on, so I'll just give an overview of how I see the story as it stands right now.

For the positives, I like the clan structure. It seems simple and functional enough and you don't bog the fic down in needless details of how vampire (or excuse me, vampyre) clan structure has worked through the ages. Honestly, readers just don't care about that sort of thing. Unless the history is relevant to the story itself, I say save it for the fanbook.

Naruto and Sasuke are both interesting characters. I like how Sasuke is pretty pragmatic about things. He's already experienced trauma, so he's naturally not like anyone else that Naruto has captured. He doesn't want to die, yet he's practical enough to know that getting it over sooner would mean less suffering for him than if the whole situation gets dragged out. Naruto is also good as the clan leader. He's as arrogant and intimidating as the head of a vampire coven should be, yet enough of a softie that he's still reminiscent of the Naruto character that we all know and love.

For the negatives, I find the plot to be rather unfocused, particularly so after Naruto's conversation with Sasuke in the sixth chapter. So the plot was originally going to be that Naruto wanted revenge against Itachi and that's why he captured Sasuke. OK. But then we got chapters of Naruto and Sasuke annoying the crap out of each other (in a more violent, life-threatening, vampire-ish way) and nothing ever happened with the revenge plot. In fact, to my complete surprise, Naruto admits to Sasuke in the latest chapter that he never really wanted revenge against Itachi in the first place. What? What about Itachi wanting Naruto's demon and almost killing him? What about all the anger he showed when Sasuke first showed up and how pleased he was that he was finally going to show Itachi. Where did all of that go?

So now, if Naruto doesn't really want Sasuke dead and was never planning on going after Itachi, then what is the point of the story? What has Naruto been trying to do this whole time by keeping Sasuke? Why not let him go and be done with it?

The story has presented a lot of reasons why keeping Sasuke just for the hell of it (which is really what Naruto's motivations boil down to) is actually a really stupid thing to do. Naruto is in danger of losing his position as clan leader because people are starting to talk about his feelings for Sasuke. Developing feelings for a human is bad; Naruto knows continuing to associate with Sasuke is "getting too dangerous" and that he should stop doing it. Hell, Naruto is putting Sasuke in danger by keeping him around; if he isn't careful, another vampire could get to Sasuke first. So then, if Sasuke isn't useful to him (Naruto doesn't need revenge against Itachi and wouldn't have chosen to kidnap him), and if Sasuke is endangering him personally and as clan leader, why is he still there?

TL;DR - With Naruto announcing he never needed revenge, the plot pretty much got thrown out the window.

In a lot of ways, the conversation between Naruto and Sasuke in this chapter made them both go OOC. Naruto because he was previously a revenge-seeking badass who would slam Sasuke into the nearest wall when he pissed him off, and Sasuke because he was justifiably disgusted by vampires after Itachi slaughtered his whole family. Now all of the sudden, Naruto never wanted revenge and finds Sasuke's little human mannerisms like eating to be charming. Naruto was always attracted to Sasuke, so it's OK that the attraction has grown, but he didn't need to go cute in the process.

And Sasuke...quite frankly he should not be attracted to Naruto AT ALL. Naruto has kidnapped him, kept him locked up, has threatened his life repeatedly, physically assaulted him, locked him in a dungeon, and kept him without food or water for the past three days. On top of which, Naruto is the same kind of being that killed his entire family. How on earth could Sasuke possibly be feeling an attraction for him? A bit of raw lust when they previously kissed is OK. Sasuke got caught up in the moment and Naruto forced the kiss on him anyway. However. Sasuke was completely horrified by the whole thing after it happened. And then Naruto compounded the problem by locking Sasuke up in that dungeon, which given the half-dead condition Naruto found him in a day later, was a nightmarish experience for Sasuke.

After all of that, how is it that Sasuke's first reaction after waking up is to be jealous of seeing Naruto on top of Sakura? Logically, he should have been frightened and angry to see the guy who had caused him so much pain. A person can die after 3 days of no water! You can last longer (up to a week) if you are in good condition and have shelter, but Sasuke was beaten up and who knows what the dungeon was like, if it was hot and he was dehydrating further. (The wilderness survival rule of thumb is 3-3-3: 3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food.) So yeah, being friendly with Naruto and getting jealous of Sakura were absolutely not reactions Sasuke should have been having at this point.

In a lot of ways, I think it would be better if this were a one-sided attraction fic, or if Naruto were to do a lot more to prove himself to Sasuke before Sasuke came around. Bringing him a bowl of ramen is hardly a reason for Sasuke to fall in love in a normal fic, but with everything else that's happened, it's especially unlikely with this Sasuke.

Well I don't know if you plan on continuing this fic or you're still writing fanfiction, but those are my thoughts for what they are worth. Good luck to you, wherever you are. :)
