I love it! :) Izuo is my Durarara OTP, so I'm always estactic when I find a good one. I'm very happy with how well written this was. Also, despite how worried you were about grammar and such, I found little to no problems. - I'm a pretty big grammar and spelling nazi. So when I say you did well, you did well. Bravo!

I love how well you kept the characters true to form throughout the story. I can't stand it when Izaya or Shizuo have this big revelation and are suddenly 'omgiloveyou!'. -_- Thankfully, you did not make that mistake and for that I am grateful.

Izaya was his usual manipulative, human loving, and godlike self that we all know an love. Loved the taunting parts with Namie. XD Specially when he suddenly remembered she was still there when he'd 'cornered' Shizuo. His basic 'have-a-nice-day-off-now-get-the-fuck-out-so-i-can-get-laid' was epic. XD

Shizuo was especially well done. I like it when writers capitalize on Shizuo's fear of hurting others and the intense control it must take to be able to live a somewhat normal life. The toll it would inevitably take on his nerves. The release both physical and mental to be able to let go and let someone else take control who can handle themselves would be enormously liberating for him I'd imagine.

Plus the sense of repentance of finally being the one physically hurt for once in a way. "Do you want to be the broken one for once?" Was very well put. Shizuo in his fevered state let through a glimpse of his duress and mental state, and Izaya grabbed hold of it to gleefully use it as a leash to tether and dominate the beast if only for a little while in a private setting.

I like how you made it somewhat clear that they weren't going to suddenly change the way they interacted on a daily biases simply because they've decided to add side benefits to their association. Shizuo gets to let go of his anxiety and worry of consequences with a partner who can take care of themselves. Izaya gets control over the one being who has denied it of him for so long, the power to bend the beast to his will. Over time who knows where it might lead, but for now they will simply be content with the present.

I wonder what Izaya would think if others tried to infringe on the control he has attained by trying to approach Shizuo in a romantic sense. If Shizuo entered into a relationship with someone, becoming monogamous, that would end the one bit of control Izaya had ever been granted over the unpredictable beast of Ikebukuro. Which I don't think Izaya would like one bit, if only due to the fact he would lose any semblance of dominance he'd gained. So, would he let go of Shizuo or manipulate him into needing him more, an therein submitting even further, and drive off potential romantic overtures? What do you think?

Again, I applaud your writing skills. I think you did the smut scene rather well, trust me I've read a LOT. I look forward to reading more by you, hopefully more Izuo. :) Have you considered a oneshot sequel or something of the sort? To see how they may have progressed? I hope you have the time to reply because I would love to hear your thoughts as a fellow Izuo fan. There aren't enough of us! DX

P.S. Loved the bonus material. XD Poor Kasuka. Probably worried about what the hell Izaya may have done to his poor big brother. That's right, run Namie. When Izaya smiles like that, nothing good can come of it. Kasuka's just lucky Izaya didn't feel like torturing him with the 'juicy' details. XD Let's just hope for Shizuo's sake that Izaya doesn't pass by an adult store and decide to do some shopping. Though he'd most likely just order online the troll. XD I can just imagine the unholy amusement of Izaya as he buys a spiked collar for poor Shizu-chan. It'll be a shocking change for everyone to see Izaya chasing a running Shizuo.

It's been such a long time that I had to re-read your fic again ; - but it was well worth it. As cheesy as it gets, that scene on the skyscraper is just gorgeous. I love how you kept the dialogue simple but at the same time, the wording and all was so perfect - I really enjoyed this chapter. Also, I don't think you overdid it with Izaya's self-perceptions of himself as nearly God, they were right in place, and fit well with the general idea. Great job! 3
