Reviews for Back To Good
tiny-spock chapter 1 . 5/25/2017
Hello! I know this story was finished a long time ago, but I just wanted to say how much I like it! Teddy and Bordon together have a lot of chemistry going on. I love that you included Tarleton in the story as well! He seemed really awesome in real life and I love the way you write him. Best supporting character in the story.
Guest chapter 12 . 9/4/2012
Oh that is just so sweet! Loved the way you finished it off too, happily ever after and 6 children! Their nanny won't be under worked for long with that brood of kids to chase after! You wrapped it up beautifully - it was a lovely end to a wonderful story!
Rosemary Tarleton chapter 1 . 8/31/2012
Oh wow! What an awesome first chapter! This is the first Bordon story I've read, I normally chase down Tavington fanfics, but you have me hooked. Great characters, I already feel for Teddy. Onto the next chapter now... :-)

Loved this story.
JScorpio chapter 12 . 4/1/2011
Thank you so much! I am glad he's alive! And you know, back then, he could have lapsed into a deep coma that certainly looked like death-not like there were modern hospitals with monitors on him to tell Teddy that he wasn't dead yet!

Wow-Yes I would say that Bordon is insanely besotted with his wife and infant son! And she has won over his family-especially his parents, as well!

Loved it! Great story!

What a great last chapter, but so sad to see it come to an end. I was so happy to see that Bordon lived! They make a great couple, and I bet little Patrick Bordon is going to be a real heart breaker when he gets older!

Amazing story!

I'm glad her mother has had a change of heart.

Please. Don't. Kill. Him. :(
Loves History chapter 11 . 3/14/2011
Nooooo! You CAN'T let Bordon die! Poor Teddy, what is she going to do without him. I just keep hearing him say "...don't forget about me.." I think I lost it at that point! And Tav deserved everything she threw at him!

Great chapter, but please, don't leave us hanging on a loose end here!
JScorpio chapter 11 . 3/14/2011
Oh My God! I hoped this wouldn't be the case. I am so sad! I'm happy that she slapped Colonel Tavington although making her feel better temporarily, you know it won't knock any sense into him. Geez-now I'm going to be depressed the rest of the day.
SailingAwaySoftly chapter 10 . 3/2/2011
Please. Do. Not. Kill Bordon! Ah, that would be the end of me (in some sense or another). Please update soon! I can't wait.

Excellent chapter, I loved it!

This was well worth waiting for. The way you described the past weeks of Bordon and Teddy's marriage through his thoughts was, to put it simply; amazing. I was gripped from the opening paragraph.

I liked how you have Bordon - that he is tired of war and wants nothing more than to go home. It's a good contrast with Tav, who is duty driven and will stop at nothing to earn Cornwallis' approval. But for Bordon, being the second son of an aristocrat, he had a choice; the army or the church. And I loved how his thoughts on Teddy and how desperately he wants her to be accepted by his parents, and he no longer cares if they reject him, but he's worried for her feelings.

They have definitely grown as a couple.

But as JScorpio said, you have left us on a cliffhanger here...you better update soon!

Again, great work!
JScorpio chapter 10 . 2/25/2011
You know, usually I like alot of dialog (if you can tell from my "windy" writings) or alot of action, BUT I really, REALLY, loved this chapter. Just a man, standing against a tree remembering, contemplating the future, and thinking of his wife. And although he can see his commander, Tavington, shaving in the creek, and his men are a few feet away having breakfast, Bordon is still alone with his thoughts.

In fact, you had me so into him and his thoughts that I forgot momentarily until you mentioned it in the writing, that there were others around. I also forgot, that if this does follow the movie, that while in his reverie, he is standing in a place of imminent danger.

So, after you plied us with all his thoughts, and also gave us some good transitional paragraphs that updated us on some of the time spent as a married man since he'd decided to be a good husband, you have left us with true cliff hanger.

I am wondering, is this going to follow the movie and will Gabriel's rebels come charging down over the hill. And if they do, will Bordon be mortally wounded and die as he does in the movie? If he dies,is in instantly? Does he make it back to camp and dies with Teddy beside him? Does he survive? Or will this scene take a totally different direction. That is why it is fanFICTION-it could follow the movie or it may not-what a surprise. So many questions.

Great!

I love this story! I wasn't sure if I would, as I never really thought about Bordon, but this was wonderful! You write so well
