I enjoy this. You have Eugene's snark down pat, but go beyond to show just how much he has opened up to Rapunzel, how little he has left to cling to. There's acceptance and resolve with a wry twist.

Ahhhh! I love Tangled, and I agree with you about the snarker. The snarky one usually ends up being my favourite character.
This is amazing, you captured Flynn's character perfectly and you made me laugh and I just love this.

My word, you actually made me cry. Then again, I always cry at that scene. But just to see all of it from his POV makes everything so much dramatic, so much more real.

And yes, I must agree with you. Any movie with a snarker automatically makes it one of my favorites. Which is why Flynn Rider is one of my top favorite Disney characters.

So, as you may be aware, you nailed this whole Eugene versus Flynn characterization. I mean, really, the bragadocious cockiness, the inner turmoil, the acceptance of that sweet but horribly lame: "You're my new dream."

All so real-seeming, so "in his head" with finger quotes.

All so good; I'm real impressed, real impressed, real redundant. So kudos, then, on your writing awesomeness.

(btw: how was TS3 so good; it's like impossible for a trequel to be that disgustingly heartwarming, and yet miracles do happen.)

"Charm. Charm? Oh, he had it. So nobody would call him smart—so big whoop. He'd been doing smart/ass/ for as long as he could remember, and where he came from, that was what got you by, all right? Not frigging please and thank you, educated in science and Latin. He spoke one language, and that was fricking badass.

AH! this is my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE movie! And you are INCREDIBLE! The way you wrote his emotions... incredible.

Honestly though, the way he's fighting with himself, the two parts, Eugene and Flynn in him, that's incredible. The person he wants to be, the person he's made himself, and the person he realizes he actually is.

And also, the diction in this is excellent. The way he talk's to himself ("Godssake, Rider, you're a fricking hero. I've never seen a worse criminal in my life") is hilarious, and really interesting, and quite superb.

So thank you, for that, that was incredible.
