Reviews for Scion of Zero
fellow chapter 6 . 10/21/2016
I liked how this played out.
fellow chapter 4 . 10/21/2016
I liked the declaration of love. :)
fellow chapter 3 . 10/21/2016
Nice fight.
fellow chapter 1 . 10/21/2016
Love the concept.
EpicQuest chapter 2 . 8/10/2016
As much as I like the Scion universe, I can't help but notice a pattern with all of the Sheila cross over fics you have. It seems like the entire point of Sheila is to serve as a Mary Sue. She shows up due to strange circumstances and almost immediately begins to show her superiority to everybody around her, constantly leaving them surprised and speechless.

Now I have Scion: Hero, God, Demigod and Companion, so I know how powerful a high ranking Scion can get. But I feel like some of these alternate universes should have at least a few characters equal to her in some fashion.
EpicQuest chapter 1 . 8/9/2016
I am not familiar with Familiar of Zero. Might check it out after reading this.
Admiral Saris chapter 2 . 7/16/2015
I like the concept. I think the 2 big problems I have are 1) events seem to really be racing by, which combined with my hazy recollections of the anime are leaving me sort of unattached to what's going on.

2) I can't tell what powers your scion has. She seems to completely understand the local magic system (which I admit isn't exactly difficult) but doesn't really talk about her own. Leaving me clueless about how powerful she is, and about her potential.
Guest chapter 9 . 2/26/2014
Salem (the review 2 below this one): It's not so much familiar bashing as Louise-bashing; they "know" she is hopeless at casting magic, therefore whatever she summons can hardly be expected to be powerful. Hence the universal assumption that Saito/whoever is a commoner. Have you not read the various crossovers where the summon happens to be obviously magical/otherworldly? Granted, ZnT crossovers don't seem to be all that common (and, as usual, most of what's out there tends to be poorly written or abandoned), but of the 8 or so ZnT-related fics I've got bookmarked more than half of them sport familiars that are obviously non-human and powerful (e.g. Tyrant of the Void).

Anyway - I recall reading this story years ago, seems like it's been abandoned as well. So few reviews, too. I suppose the OC is a turnoff, although personally even if I don't favour them I don't mind decently-written OCs, and Sheila isn't that bad. Gotta say though the last few chapters it all just gets messier, I can believe the author got stuck and gave up. Feature creep is indeed a big problem. Should've kept it closer to canon; bringing in the OC universe means a ton more threads to keep track off. A fairly decent story overall imho, but not outstanding.
Sceonn chapter 1 . 12/14/2013
It's like she's not subservient but still is... kinda of a turn-off to me yet interesting all the same.
SalemTheSpeakerOfTruth chapter 1 . 6/17/2013
I wonder why nearly every FoZ crossover has everyone automatically assume that Louise's familiar is a commoner.

Having never read the manga, I have no idea if everyone's ridiculous attitudes towards said familiar is bashing, or if it's accurate.
SeanHicks4 chapter 9 . 4/21/2013
Interesting cross, I hope ya come back to it. I'm not too familiar with Scion, got into looking for more crosses after seeing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer cross. On that note, I almost thought you were going to have Sheila being a daughter of Thor and adopted by Athena based on the few times you mentioned Frost Giant and the Bifrost which are, as far as I'm aware, primarily Norse mythological concepts in origin. well on to other fics...possibly that Naruto/Scion cross I saw...
Alrissa chapter 9 . 8/29/2012
Oy this is getting complicated... Not bad fot Yet Another Zero Fanfiction. :P
SuperiorShortness chapter 9 . 2/20/2012
Hope it continues... I really have to get around to reading Scions too... Haha...
Zaralann chapter 9 . 1/24/2012
Very nice!
Annara Ren chapter 9 . 1/23/2012
This story, just as all your other ones are written in fast, fast, fast, fast, fast forward. They make for very poorley reads.

If readers wouldn't already be extremely familiar with the settings you're using, then they most likely couldn't understand anything from your stories.

I went through most of them and I liked some of the ideas found in them. But the way you present them... it leaves a lot to be desired.

Take time to present the setting. Don't rush. Read over your own work several times before posting. And work on yout dialog... it's a mess. Perhaps find a beta who could help you with it? I'm cringing every time I stumble upon your characters exchanges replics..

The sad thing is you have stories spanning 10 years of posts, but the quality of your work stais mostly the same.

As I said, I would like to read more from you. And hopefully, in time, you can improve your writing as well.

Thank you for writing and sharing!
