How could you kill the corgi?! There are few things I do not forgive, and murdering puppies is one of them! That is just not acceptable!

Every time he is about to do something really wrong, I keep saying in my head "No! Don't do it!". But we all know he most likely is. Being an assassin is much worse than killing people in the moment. It will make things even more interesting though.

The relationship between Jacob and Grell is getting pretty interesting as well. I can see that they do care for each other to a degree and that Jacob is looking out for his younger brother to a degree as well. It's actually cute how they are getting closer and how they are enjoying spending their time together. Now that they both realize how similarly screwed up they both are, they can understand each other more. However, I have a bad feeling that things are going to eventually go south between them. I hope not, but I just feel like there may be a betrayal happening at some point by one or both of them. I really hope that one doesn't kill the other one because that would be absolutely heart breaking. It's much worse killing your own relative, especially after how close they have gotten recently.

As for Mersery Hall, things are going south there quickly. I hope no one starts to really give him a hard time. If Grell looses it there, that won't be something easily covered up. I also wonder what's going on with Collin. Either Grell is just being paranoid, or there is something on his mind about Grell. Hopefully their tension gets resolved soon.

I can't wait to see what happens next. Things just keep getting more and more intense! :)

Typically I discovered this just after you had decided to have a rest from it. I do hope you have a good break and find your purpose again. I was enthralled by this work and read all 67 chapters over 3 days, when I should have been doing all sorts of things to prepare for Christmas. Then I was devastated to read that you were leaving it for a while. I read your notes on Deviantart so I completely understand why and think that after 3 years you do need a break. I have the temptation to suggest all sorts of things for you but that is never helpful. I would ask that if you are never going to come back to this work to at least add a chapter of how you envisaged Grell becoming a reaper so that I and other readers can have an ending to the story. Few! I was actually a little worried that there might have been some sort of ambush. I'm glad that their relationship seems to be improving. I'm sure things are going to get chaotic soon enough though, but chapters like this one are very enjoyable. The Sutcliff family is so screwed up, it's nice to see some things improving with them. As always, I'll be eagerly awaiting more! :)

I really liked this chapter. It was surprisingly heartwarming. Although I'm not sure how long it will last. It definitely made me smile.

Oi. I can't believe he said that. I have a bad feeling that is going to come back to haunt him. He really needs to stop getting so drunk around other people. There have been plenty of other times where he knows he was acting crazy but just can't remember what he was actually saying and doing. Who knows if he will ever find out what happened some of those other times.

I must say, who seemed to do your research on the development of the psychopath. You have a bunch of markers that lead a person down that path. There was the extreme violent trauma, then the start of harming animals, then the aggression, then him fantasizing about starting fires, all the while getting worse and worse. There is even sexual trauma there as well. Him and the rest of his friends were technically manipulated by Reg, They seemed to have been a Stockholm's syndrome thing going on there.

Granted, there are levels to things. Even though he is manipulative and will get rid of a person if they cross him or finds them no longer useful at times, he doesn't seem to be a complete psychopath. He does have emotions, even if they are sometimes inappropriate for the situation(aka laughing at his mother's funeral), and he does have connections with people. Even though he represses it well, he does seem to feel a degree over his actions. He really seemed to be struggling with all the silence he had. It seems like all of previous actions are starting to weigh down on him. HIs does seem to overall think that the people he works with at the theater are good people, which seems to bother him at times. He has shown fear that he could loose his temper with them or that could find out other things about him that he has kept a secret.

I also really like the realizations he had with his identity and sexuality. He s becoming more accepting of who he is, but struggles with knowing that even many of the people he cares about won't accept it.

I also have a feeling he might be going(and possibly running) back to Jacob soon. Even though he is flawed as well, it is still good to see Jacob accept Grell for who he is. He did threaten him if he got too out of control, however it still doesn't seem like he actually wants to harm him in any way. He is only going to if he feels he has to. It still is wrong to harm your brother, but at least if he does do it, he won't do it because he is being malicious towards him. Anyway, I really can't wait for more and to see how things come to a close. I can definitely feel the tension building up and that there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes, both mortal and supernatural. I look forward to the next update! :)

It has been far too long since I read this! I believe I last left off in the late 20 or chapter 30's? I am again speechless of how you've managed to make such an amazing story even better!

I'm not even close to finishing this story, but I can already tell you that this is one of the best things I've read. It is so well written and chapter ten nearly brought me to tears. Is it weird to consider a fanfiction one of my favorite "books"? Even if it is, I don't care because as of now, I consider it one. If you do intend on ever making a novel out of this story, I promise I will buy it someday. Keep doing what you're doing and I'm looking forward to see what else this story has in store. :)

Well that was probably the most stressful conversation I have ever heard. So right now I'm thinking Elijah ( that may be spelled wrong) and Oskar were the only good kids in the family. Unless you are really going to drop the * ball on us and reveal that Elijah is the mastermind behind a bunch of shady activities. I'm joking though, because I really do doubt that. Psychopathy does run in families after all. I blame their father. We didn't see much of him, but I know he made most of his kids a little insane. Also the connections that Sutcliff family has are really scary. Jeeze! Jacob literally has people everywhere. It was good for Grell to come clean to a certain degree. Now I'm really thinking that either Jacob or Mathew might kill him in the end. I am relieved that Jacob does actually care about Grell. I doesn't seem like he was actually going to blackmail him. He was just trying to get information out of him. At least he's not going to kill him or do anything drastic unless he feels he has a very good reason to, which is good for this family. I guess Jacob doesn't really feel like he should judge Grell too much for his crimes considering what he's done. Sigh. I wonder if we will find out more about what the heck he actually does. It seems like he hires a bunch of assassins to get rid of people or something. It seems like this family can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. Just don't get on their bad side. Anyway, I can't wait for more. You are doing a really great job of building up the suspense. I just know that when Grell dies, it is gong to be an amazing build up. I'm also sorry to hear that you haven't been doing too well( I just recently discovered that you have links on your page). As a fellow overly stressed out person, I wish you the best. This story is so amazing. I loved Grell before, but after reading this story I love him even more. Can't wait to find out what happens next!

Oh my goodness. I felt the anxiety throughout this entire chapter. I actually thought it was going to be Mathew in the alley. I can't be sure yet whether they are really trying to frame and extort him or if they were just trying to rile him up. I actually hope that Jacob is not actually going to do any harm to his brother. I thought he seemed to actually care about him. Either he's screwing him over or is saving his sorry behind. It could also be a little of both. It's too soon to tell. Having a main character like him creates an interesting affect on readers. You generally want him to succeed, regardless of what he does. Even though I don't want him to get caught, we all know he actually deserves to. Regardless of what Jacob's intensions are, he can't keep doing these things without any major repercussions. Karma was going to catch up to him eventually.

Also, this was such a crazy time to end the chapter! What a cliffhanger. Please update soon! I can't wait to see how these next events go.

Why aren't more people reading this?! It's great! I've never paid special attention to Grell before (to me he was a lovable character who showed up every once in a while to either try to cut people to bits or to try and have Sebastian's babies), but this story suddenly made him one of the most interesting characters for me. Thank you for that!
