Mm-Burnt-Toast-mM chapter 1 . 1/5/2011 Absolutely beautiful. This story is so moving and full of emotion. It's heart-wrenching, but the end provides that little bit of happiness. This made me cry. Thank you for writing such an amazing story. |
Giraffe Dinosaur chapter 1 . 11/28/2010 Absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could say more, but I read it two days ago on my ipod (without reviewing so I felt bad) and I probably can't even find the words to describe this. It was moving and it felt honest. I've never been through this, though the workings of stillbirth seem so intricate. It's... I don't even know. I thank you for writing and posting this. |
uninspired me chapter 1 . 11/25/2010 OMG. Heartbreaking. It made me remember that Grey's episode, where a young couple is expecting, and the mom-to-be accidentally slips on a bar of soap. And it's just so heartbreaking to watch her trying to give birth to her baby when she knows the baby's dead. I think you captured Rachel's emotions perfectly. And writing it in from the reader's POV made it all the more powerful. You did a wonderful job given the topic, and I'm just glad I have you on Author alert, otherwise, since I don't usually read Q/R, I would never have read your breathtaking story. |
Liz chapter 1 . 11/25/2010 Beautifully written, I really enjoyed it! I would love it as a multi-chapter fick! But it is wonderful! |
jellyfishheart chapter 1 . 11/25/2010 I am so surprised this hasn't received more reviews! Every word pierced my chest with such honesty and sorrow that when I finished reading, it left me empty. Your eloquence is stunning. This whole piece was just beautiful. If I was someone who ever cried, I would have been sobbing throughout the whole thing. But the closest I ever get is this fierce heartache, and heartache did indeed happen throughout your piece. You capture loss and grief so effortlessly; it's breathtaking. I wonder if you've suffered through loss as well? Speaking as someone who has, you're spot on. The loss of a child, especially a child you never had the chance to know, is pure misery. It's a grief of "what ifs" shot down with "but not now". You wrote this seamlessly. Thank-you. |
othlvr16 chapter 1 . 11/25/2010 wow that made me cry, but those are usually the best stories...Great job |
