tyrannicpuppy chapter 1 . 3/20/2018
That was cute and beautiful and hard to take. I thought for a moment that it could happen, that they would believe it could work. But in the end, she proved just too stubborn. Why is it ok for her to fall for one best friend, but not for the other. Too hard. I'm going to need to read one of my safety blanket stories after that ending. I need happiness injected back into my soul. Fantastic writing though.

I like this but I found some errors. "Yet he would never quite achieve that because everyone their love was far more prolonged than his infatuation with Ginny happened to be." Huh? That sentence makes no sense! Also, "keeping silent once more, the dirty blonde buried her head into his neck." Hermione is NOT a blond, she's a brunette! "as he slipped his hands under has backside." Has? Huh? And why must he call her "Mione"? No one EVER calls her that in either the books or the movies!
ilffi chapter 1 . 11/23/2010
This was great. Normally fics are so... so unrealistically unambiguous. JKR never gave these two a chance, it was a taboo, a topic that was avoided in the first place and then she went even further on to make her point having Harry say that Hermione was like a sister to him...

You, on the other hand, gave them a fighting chance and the result was this beautiful scene that I'm sure to read more than once. Harry's infatuation with Ginny has always seemed *to me* like settling for the second prize, because the first was already preserved, thus resulting as the taboo of Harry's feelings towards Hermione...

But the fact remains (at least in my opinion), that between a heterosexual man and a woman there can never be a completely (100%) platonic relationship. JKR's main folly (still only my opinion...) in fact was that she couldn't write romance very well; her characters suddenly turned into these unrealistically monotone-thinking unambiguous literary devices that did not resemble real life in many ways. The infamous epilogue was the epitome of a bad literary decision resulting from this.

People are not absolute. They may say they are, but they aren't.

So I wanted to thank you for writing something reasonably realistic, because I enjoyed it very much. It really emphasized the importance of Hermione to Harry (be it platonic or not), it's clear that on the long term, Hermione is the most important figure in Harry's life. She always stood by him, even when Ron didn't.

I'm sorry for ranting, but it really helped me to get my head straight.

I loved this, thanks.
