Night13 chapter 1 . 4/4/2017 Beautiful and Heartbreaking I've grown fond of this pairing though lack of fics on them drive me to go back to my other OTP's. But you good author drew out a genuine sense of loss; truly they should have had more time or even have made their own divergence somehow and someway have gained a happy ending. Alas it was not meant to be but though the story ended short it was magnificent. Thank you |
Lone Angel in a Trenchcoat chapter 1 . 11/23/2013 Wow! Beautifully written! I almost cried at the end too... I personally have always had Aiber/L as my second OTP (LightxL being the first due to my guilty pleasure of having them attack each other and beat each other which leads to a few other stuff. So in short a fighting relationship, one where neither ever backs down for good.) Aiber/L has always been my softer OTP and one that I see as people that could probably genuinely be happy together. Unlike L and Light since the two just clash too often and never share a lovely relationship. You kept both people in good character which is something I have yet to master. Keep up the good work! |
Vermillion Haired Poet chapter 1 . 4/29/2012 Ah, I just come to give a review You wrote good, put a good twist yet smart, and I love that kinda way. I'm impressed and read it... 5 times maybe? Dunno exactly. And ah, dun worry. You and Miss Bright (I've read "No Ordinary Con Man" and dunno why I brust into tears) aren't alone to love Aiber. I do love him as much as I love my guitar named "Gexy" (It's my boyfriend, LOL) he's just very amaziiiiing and perfect! Love, taskebab |
F8WUZL8 chapter 1 . 1/22/2011 You are one of two fanfictions with this gorgeous pairing. How lucky you are such a fabulous writer. The characterization was fantastic, the plot intriguing, the twist at the end breathtaking, and the pairing- yummy. This one-shot is perfect! |
Sashocirrione chapter 1 . 11/23/2010 This entire fic is very well-written, complex, full of a thoughtful feeling and very in-character for both Aiber and L. I love it how Aiber is the only one other than L who can see Light for what he is, as a con-man realistically would. This part is really beautiful and heart-rending: "Aiber can see how his fetal crouch becomes more pronounced, how he relies on the comfort of sugar and rubs his naked feet against each other absently. Aiber's trade has made him sensitive to body language and it irks him to see the others recoil before L's signs of distress when they are so prompt to show concern over Soichiro's torment, Light's exasperation or Misa's frailty. Why should L alone be treated as a freak when he bends under the case ?" I've often wondered if those things are indeed L's signs of distress, and also felt the cold way everyone treated L to be unjust. |
Miss Bright chapter 1 . 11/23/2010 First off, thank you so much for the dedication! I can't even properly express how deeply honoured I am, because this fic has turned out so much lovelier than anything I ever could've imagined or dreamed of. It definitely blows mine clear out of the water You did more than keep Aiber and L in character- you thoroughly reinvented their relationship, you effortlessly gave life to it (though obviously I know how much work it must have really been), you gave Aiber flesh and blood and soul that Obha and Obata had apparently planned, but didn't have time to do so. And even better, your interpretation of their beginning/past is so believable, I can imagine it as being in canon. I felt kind of sorry for Valérie, when she realized that L was becoming Aiber's new god...and vice versa ;) but damn, Aiber and L beats all. This was like reading poetry, even the main English screamed "French"; there arent't enough words in my Canadian lexicon to describe how breathtaking this story was. Not to mention that I appreciated its cultural aspects, wine "tips" and Pokemon references xD And then there was this: "Aiber says bullshit and reaches for L" Is that...was that...intentional? Ahhh :DDDD! But, my God, the ending just tore right through me. Your version of the story behind Aiber's death - willingly giving himself up to Light - just...I teared up, honestly. Foolish but noble. And it was perfect. Utterly perfect. He really is a good man. No contest, this is one of the most wonderful, if not THE most romantic and slash piece I have ever had the honour of reading. If it were possible to be in love with a story, then this is it! I noticed that this was also your first Death Note fic, congrats and I sincerely hope that this fandom will be graced once again by your heartwrenching, head-spinning, inspiring talent. Aiber isn't the only one with a golden touch and quicksilver tongue :) |
Lupiot chapter 1 . 11/23/2010 OMG. Biz Lup |
