This story was amazing. You packed so much emotion into these three chapters, and it had an open-ended yet satisfying conclusion. Your character voices were brilliant and overall it was just adorable and awesome.

I really do have things I need to do, and now that I've read two stories when I meant to read just one chapter, I'm going to be good and stop. I'm stopping with Christmas pjs and twinkling lights and kisses that don't require mistletoe. Yeah, it's fluffy, but what fun!

They are always dancing. Love the way you tucked that in there. And Damon would *so* leave lipstick notes. He's that guy... This is super-festive and fun.

You wrote all of them so incredibly well, staying true to who they are and how they sound and what they want. I so appreciate that you're aknowledging (in a way the show never really has) the fact that Elena is an exact copy, as Kat is, born out of magic. It makes for an interesting existential conundrum that the show has glossed over, not to mention the fact that it must complicate her relationship with both Salvatores (and Elijah too). I love that she comes to the same (but more coherently stated) decision Elena came to at the end of S3: yes, there's something, maybe one day but not now.

I don't know why, but instead of making me really happy, this story makes me ache with sadness. Like, maybe it's because it's all full of maybes, and maybes are only maybes. I don't know. But I love me some angst. And D/E is all about it. But for some reason, the story makes me want to cry, and stories like this don't make me cry.

But I've gotta say, it made me laugh a lot. Because omg, your Damon. It's like you're a TVD writer. And I love Damon too much. Seriously.

Thanks for writing thissss. No matter how long ago it was. Because it's still so, so good even after everything that's happened in the show.

This is fabulous- you caught Damon's sound just right, everything he says sounds just like him. And it's my favorite Damon, snarky and threatening ("cutting your head off in my mind" is perfect, as is "I have an idea"-"Mine's better") and being a really good guy/protecting himself/uninterested in things that aren't real; you really captured him. And Elena's self destructive martyrdom, and her taking Damon for granted as a tool for it- going to the 'bad brother' to help her 'be a bad person'. Some of the best characterization I've read. Love!

The story isn't marked as Complete but it definitely feels that way, and on a good wnding to boot.
