The British PM typed in the codes on the nuclear briefcase and had all of Britain's nuclear weapons armed and aimed at America. with Washington DC and the SGC being the primary targets.

He then said one word with great reluctance as it was the only was to stop America hoarding alien tech for themselves "Launch"

As the nukes were fired and headed to America the PM knew what had happened.

Kensey, hammond and Davies looked at each other after the ambassador spoke, exchanged some small gestures, noded and their faces hardened. The British Ambassador smugly looked at them thinking he had them over the barrel. Then Hammond spoke: "A few things for your consideration"
he spoke coldly "1. No other nation would have done better than we did, you are basicly stating that the Goa'uld existing are OUR fault." The ambassador tried to interrupt but Hammond shouted: " Shut the fuck up I'm talking now!" the ambassador shut up. " 2. Any nation with in the posession of the stargate would have kept it secret - including your own. You should be happy we graciously decided to share the knowledge with you. I will not stand here and listen to you prattle on about things you know very little about Ambassador!" George growled out. The man was red in the face at this point " Now WAIT ON.." " I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!" shouted Hammond punching the guy in the face.
"3. IT WAS AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN THE DEFENCE OF EARTH, NOT BRITISH,RUSSIAN OR CHINESE!" Hammond calmed himself momenteraly. and spoke with hard eyes: " We tried to play nice with you English, wanted you to be one of the first to have access to the technological fruits of the Stargate." Stunned the ambassador stuttered "You c-can't d-do this i will report what you did!"
Kensey answered; "Foolish man we have contingencies in case of EVERYTHING, did you think we didn't anticipate this scenario ?" a sneer on his face.
Davies through everything that happened just stood calmly a neutral expression on his face, he said" Here is what is going to happen - The british will get nothing, no tech, no advanced knowledge, zero plus we have better trading,economical and military partnerships offworld than your little island can possibly offer" Davies shifted a little " like Hebridan for instance, so you can do what you want...not that you will" Davies smiled coldly for the first time. "W-w-what?!" stuttered the ambassador. The Major turned to Thor who was listening with attention "Supreme Commander Thor would it be possible to 'edit' the good ambassadors memories of the knowledge of the Stargate, it is so political infighting on earth doesn't cripple our efforts in combating the Goa'uld?"
he asked calmly. The ambassador paled and standing while backing away he shouted " You can't do this, i have rights a-a-and..." Thor after thinking a moment spoke " I understand the compex situation we are in, and agree it would be for the best - Earth must be protected and the Goa'uld destroyed, petty political infighting on your planet would not serve anyone".
after saing that Thor pressed a cristal and the Ambassador wanished in whie light. " I will make him remember a secret briefing on terrorist activities witch will be somewhat blurry, nothing on the Stargate will remain." Davies, Hammond and Kensey thanked Thor for his help. The three looked at each other and than Kinsey said" Sooo...Lunch?" the two looked at him with rised eyebrows " I'm buying" the Senator added. "Why not?" answered Hammond" Davies just nodded.

I will admit many of my country's leaders and citizens are arrogant, but while my country may have one of if not the largest military in the world, it is such an incredible drain on our resources. It doesn't help that the richest people in the country just want to keep getting richer instead of investing in the infrastructure of the U.S.A.
America's infrastructure is crumbling whether anyone wants to admit or not. The last time there was serious work put in was over seventy years ago. I know it seems wrong to some people that think we need to "help" every country in the world, but I would like nothing better than to let all the other countries in the world deal with their own damn problems and fix our own country.
As for the Stargate problem, that was the show's budget talking. I doubt they could afford to get a new set and change the series enough to make the Stargate Program international. I have no illusions in thinking that the US could take on the rest of the world and win. Sure, we could put up a good fight, but eventually we'd get worn down or bombed with nukes. It doesn't help that most of our military is constantly deployed to other countries.

Interesting, I think. I watched Star Gate for a long time until the new team came on. Thinking about this story, I can't really see the United Kingdom doing this. Yeah, I can see them getting upset about it but not doing what they have here. That would be more along the lines of what Russia, China, or France would do.

I had some questions after reading another of your stories but they were answered after reading this story and your profile. I now have a better understanding of your reasons. I don't dislike them, it's just that they really aren't my cup of tea. Your writing style is good anyway. Good luck in your endeavors.

A good fic and that is 1 thing I didn't like in Stargate America did things using the gate without consulting other nations first makes sense for the Brits to be mad at this, wouldn't mind seeing a sequel where the Stargate revealed or what the UN or certain world leaders do as I could see the UN taking the Stargate from America by force not letting them keep like some writers had happen in most Stargate goes public fics.

Interesting story. You might not have spell check on your own computer, but so you know, the place where you uploaded your story has spell check, in many languages. Just look in the tool bar.

Yeah, obviously the Brits are being a bit arrogant themselves at the moment in this, so it's just not the Americans. :P

Still, he raises a very good point, and as I understand it, it is that same argument that is responsible for some of today's international issues, not just with America, but other countries as well.

Of course, the issue can be turned right around, and have it pointed out to the Brits what makes them so sure that they can be just as trusted with such technology as the Americans?

But as it should already be clear, that wasn't the point of the episode, or the meeting, which I think occurred for these very reasons (but I maybe wrong, my memory is a little fuzzy of said episode).

It was an issue that still needed to be brought up, though, so, good job bringing it up. :)
