You did it. It's over. The end was heart rending, terribly sad, and perfect. Your poetry is poignant and haunting. Thank you for sharing it, and this story. I will miss it.

Oh god I didn't know... I had no clue... I thought the array they found back then was made for... I don't even know. I probably thought it was some kind of thrilling thing and I was curious to find out about it, cause I expected the result to be mind-blowing and cool and shit.
And indeed, it IS mind-blowing. I'm sitting here with my stomach all cramped and my heart rate at 180... and I'm not even crying cause... I got no words really. Like my mind is frozen or something.

All I know is that I had no clue, I had no fucking hint of an idea that THIS would happen. I honestly still believed in whatever kind of happy ending... yeah, a tad rediculous reading a story LIKE THIS - come to think of it in retrospect *sighs deeply*. But I DID. I thought they'd make it home and all.
And OMG I HAD NO CLUE IT WOULD END LIKE THAT, that it was supposed to end like that all along, that there was NO OTHER OPTION than to end it like that.
It's so devastating, I can't even... ó.ò

Oh my goodness. The angst. You hurt me in my feels!

Oh my ó.Ò... I wonder what Ed's "two weeks" remark was supposed to mean, cause apparently, at the end of the chappy, it's "two days before the final night" already... so... there's something that's coming closer, right? And it sounds pretty... well, final ó.ò. Like, they're looking back to their "previous lives" (cause the lives they once lived seem so very different from the hopeless situation they're stuck in), thinking about what they'll miss - which sounds like something's gonna happen, so they'll never return.
And that last paragraph was freakin' touching... I didn't expect Ed to react that way... I didn't expect that it would really affect him, I mean, cause apparently he's trying so hard to not get attached to Roy too much and to act like he wouldn't care and all. But he DOES care and it DOES mean something to him, after all.

Omg and that paragraph about when they poisoned the remaining rest of their squad. Like... especially because you described it that shortly and curtly... and, dunno, unemotionally - that made it even more shocking. Like, it was inevitable and there was no other way, so they did it. Period. Without giving it any more space in their minds, whatever.
And I think especially because everything they do appears so forcefully unemotional, the very last bit was even more heartwrenching. Cause there's an actual emotion making its way to the surface or something.

I hope your life has settled down a little in the meantime... so you can keep writing this story, cause it's really really unique! As in, the mood you manage to create and all. It's freakin impressive! :)

Oh my God, such desperation, such despair. I'm afraid to read the next chapter. I will anyway, of course.

Oh dear. When I saw an update with a word count of only 92 words, I expected the worst, as in, "This fanfic is being abandoned." I'm so glad that's not the case! I've actually come back and read this a few times since last you posted, just because. So sorry to hear that life has been rough on you, but glad that things are turning around. There's no need to apologise for putting stuff on hold; priorities are priorities. I'll be waiting patently for the next chapter, because I know it will be worth the wait. Take care.

I just read through this whole story and it's amazing! The way you describe things, Roy and Ed's thoughts and feelings, it's incredible and so fascinating I was practically glued to the pc screen! I can't wait for an update, please continue this story!

And don't worry, I guess I'm gonna take your announcement as an opportunity to reread the latest few chapters of your fic... cause I can hardly remember the plot tbh ó.O. All I recall right now is that it was cold and rainy and muddy and wet in most chapters... and that Roy and Ed kinda have a weird relationship in which Roy doesn't quite seem to know what he really wants and Ed doesn't seem to really like it, but yet they keep going on like that :P.
And they're kinda left alone in their cold muddy camp and no one cares about them anymore.
Yeah... that's all I can squeeze out of brain right now.
Oh and that the vocaulary you're using is pretty close to the limits of my English skills... :'D

But yeah, anyway, I think I'm gonna reread some chapters now that I know that another update is on its way. :)
