Quite heartbreaking. I feel truly sorry for Charity, she's just a very minor character, but I have always assumed she must have been a sweet person. Very well-written story. I feel so bad for Severus too; his role as the spy has prevented him from making true friendships with the Hogwarts staff, and I somehow always liked to think that Charity would have been among those who have tried to be his friend.

I felt it too, watching that scene unfold. That there was something between them, that Snape regretted her suffering. It made me wonder what their relationship was like… Nice writing :).

This was so amazing. I went to the midnight premiere and this scene kind of broke my heart a bit. Call me crazy but I swear I could see a tinsy bit of sadness in Sev's eyes when they floated her over the table. Which is why I absolutely had to come and check if anybody wrote some Severus/Charity friendship/romance fics. Yay for you and the others I found! :D Great job! I loved it!
