I realize I am extremely late to this party, but I stumbled across this little gem quite by accident and it was an amazing character introspection/study. Well done.

Brilliant observation on Marsala tying his oh-so-human desire to be with Nara and form a family with his part in creating the new brood of Neo-Sapiens. It definitely makes him see a lot more relateable.

Very nice! I was always a big fan of the Nara and Marsala pairing. It saddened me that he left her alone on Venus in the end. I had always hoped that some day he would go back. After he realizes she won't accept anyone but him.

After all, wasn't there one of the pirate crew (I think they were pirates) that really liked her and she blew him off because she likes Marsala? Well, that's what I remember any ways. It's been about 10 years since I have seen this show. Let's all pray for a DVD release and thank god for fan fic. :)

Neo's that can reproduce on their own, having to do it the old fashioned way, I must admit it was a shocker, and kinda makes sense in a way, though it hasn't helped much to others in the past, the ability to breed IS the mark of a living thing.

The best thing about watching Exosquad was seeing the subtle romance between Marsala and Nara. Yours is one of the only stories I've found about their relationship, and it is *so* good to read. I sincerely hope you write more.

Very, very good. It's been a good long while since any new Exosquad stories have appeared on this site. You capture everything about Marsala in a few simple paragraphs, and you have a nice insight into his thoughts and personality. Please write more soon, not that I should be talking...

This story is so beautiful. I used to et up early and stay up odd hours to watch this show and adored Nara and Marsala the most. I always wanted and still want them to have a chance together. This story almost made me cry. It is beautiful Thank you

This is wonderful. I used to get up at 5:30 every weekday morning to watch Exosquad, and Nara and Marsala were my favorite characters. I hated to see them part at the end of the show, and I think you did a great job of capturing the emotions. You should write more of Exosquad.
