Want Jane & Lisbon. Washburn is too egocentric (not that Jane isn't but he's a nicer ego maniac) A second segment would be good.

I loved it! And I know it's a long shot, since you published this so long ago, but I'd love to read the drive back in Jane's POV :)

Fabulous character voices - I could 'play' this in my mind's eye. Well paced and right on the money.

He would be so put out at not being the alpha male in her life! Walter was done just nicely - he is very perceptive and playful.

I whole-heartedly vote for a second chapter! I just found this and it successfully dragged me away from planning I should be doing. Terrific, spot-on characterization,as always. I would love to read where they go next. As much as it works as a stand-alone, I really want to read more. Please don't leave me hanging and I promise a new instalment of Ruby Slippers asap.

I would love a second part to this, especially in Jane's head. Nice, compact story. I heart me some Mashburn and I heart me some Jane, so having them together in this fic was wonderful. Feed those plot bunnies some hay already!

I have a hard time enjoying post-red Hot fics cause most of them are all about Lisbon sleeping with Mashburn because she can't have Jane/she is so in love with Jane or eh...whatever. And they almost always put Mashburn in a bad light. I guess the chance of L/M romance fics is pretty much nonexistent here on

so I really enjoyed that you found a good balance in this fic and it was something I would have loved to see on screen. But alas the writers seems to suffer from obliviousness.

Not sure if I agree with Mashburn pointing out that Jane is jealous, I dunno...I just didn't see any particular sign that Mashburn saw something between that's just me and since my love for this character graduately inreases with every time I rewatch I have to agree with liery: I hope you write a second part from Jane's POV AND maybe one where L and M meet again.

I was so excited that you wrote a Mashburn piece... I love Mashburn... and you mentioned his dimples!

I loved all of it, Lisbon's satisfaction was bone-deep - she wouldn't even let Jane sway her.

Jane, Mashburn, Jane, Mashburn...I don't know which made me smile more:

"You fail to notice that I'm always there to catch you, though."

OR

"I miss you."

Clever spoiled Jane though, a nice long car ride (with games!) to get the attention he feels he being deprived of.

I so love this! I wish the show would have shown us Jane's reaction, but I guess that's what fanfic is for. We absolutely need Jane's POV to this, so get writing. :)

HEEEE. Okay, so I read this once quickly before I had to run out for a lecture series this evening. I enjoyed this even more second time around. I'm sure I'm not the only person in full support of you doing a second part to this. It's basically mandatory at this point.

I love the way you wrote Lisbon in this. It's exactly how I picture her after the episode. Her comment about getting Jane his muzzle was quite possibly my favorite, although it's hard to tell. ALSO, Jane's way of approaching her was hilarious. Liar. Hee.

Oooh, oh. And the phone call. They have to bring Mashburn back. THEY HAVE TO. I myself am a big fan of the idea of Mashburn donating a large sum of money to the CBI and then there being some big fancy event that involves the cast in formalwear again (yeah, I'm that shallow). But I'm not picky.

Yeah, this thing needs a second part. Them in the car would be just priceless. So there, you have my vote :) All in all, a truly fantastic job. I love this.

Please write more of this. This is probably the best post red hot story I've read.
