I never liked that song (I was in college when it came out), but I *love* this story. Very well done. The story itself was very good and you did a great job weaving the lyrics into it. Favorited.

Very well written. Although I noticed you didn't mention Kim and Ron's name. IDK if it was for effect or not, but still great job. Keep writting :)

It seems to run on emotions and thoughts, and that fits very well in this setting.

It's also interesting how no names are used throughout the story, and yet we all know who it speaks of.

little comment: at the end you say 'stoy complete', you might mean 'story complete'

The red angel feather-a very evocative image. It hints a bit at magical realism (a fiction genre mastered by central and South American writers).

"'I promised to keep her safe… to always be there for her', he thought"

Implies that Ron did something dumb/bad/stupid that caused K's injury. If so, maybe adding a bit to the background narration (K's accident) would add some soul-tortured guilt to Ron's angst.

I like the fact you're not afraid to explore some metaphysical aspects of Ron's feelings for Kim.

Whoa that almost weirded me out. Ron pushed to the edge in his grief comes the realization of where Kim might be after a disasterous mountain slide.

Pretty good, about this time they might decide to make it legal soon.
