Lady Rhetorica chapter 1 . 11/21/2010 Dear S103, Thank for the Armistice Day reminder. No harm in occasionaly reminding us within the KP universe that the real heroes are guys like Sgt. Salvatore Giunta in Afghanistan. LR |
TheRedKommie chapter 1 . 11/12/2010 it is so sad that so many seem to forget those thst served, giving us the only thing that mattered, their lives. but as long as we have things that remind us, from books like killer angels and we were soliders and young, to the movies and tv specials, and even here, where men and women that know better then most share with us their experiences we will never forget. |
Mack53B chapter 1 . 11/12/2010 Thank You for the rememberance. I would like to give you Right Hand Salute. Yours, GMG1. |
EnterpriseCV-6 chapter 1 . 11/11/2010 so two things this is the first Never Again... Never Again... They had a frightening desire for genocide They wouldn't stop 'til what was left of my family died Hell-bent on taking over the world You couldn't hide in the shroud of conformity We can't forget how we were devastated by the beast And how we pleaded with our captors for release We were hunted for no reason at all One of the darkest times in our history All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you Never Again Their depraved society Didn't end up killing me Scream with me Never Again Not again A generation that was persecuted endlessly Exterminated by the Nazi war machine We will remember, let the story be told To realize how we lost our humanity You dare to tell me that there never was a Holocaust You think that history will leave the memory lost Another Hitler using fear to control You're gonna fail this time for the world to see All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you Never Again Their depraved society Didn't end up killing me Scream with me Never Again Not again All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you Never Again Their depraved society Didn't end up killing me Scream with me, Never Again For the countless souls who died Let our voices fill this night Sing with me, Never Again They aren't lost you see The truth will live in me Believe me, Never Again-Disturbed Never again (the lead singer is also Jewish and his grandfather is a holocaust survivor) the second I'm part German and I know for a fact that there was a holocaust and if someone said there wasn't I would beat their sorry asses badly |
Rye-bread chapter 1 . 11/11/2010 We’ve shared a lot of info. I can’t recall if you ever mentioned your involvement in the armed forces. You probably have. It would make sense, of course, because you incorporate Ron’s service record into your stories. Now that I think about I surprisingly don t see a lot of that in other fic‘s. I, a lifelong civilian, lay hand on hearrt in a civilian salute to you. And I celebrate with you Veterans Day. Wonderful story and wonderful reminder. I also read that November 9, 1938, was the date of Kristallnacht, when the Nazi storm troopers rioted and assaulted Jews all over Germany and parts of Austria. |
