| Guest chapter 14 . 3/26/2019 I think you are stretching credulity that darcy would fork out another £10k for lydia - that makes £20 k in a little over a year - twice Darcy's annual income and around £800,000 in todays money - for a thoughtless self-absorbed young woman (actually i thought giving wickham £10k to marry her was a bit over the top). It would make more sense if he offered her a cottage on his estate and a small pension. |

| Guest chapter 12 . 3/26/2019 I am not usually sympathetic to characters who hold out against the one they (previously) loved, but the way you have plotted this story i feel elizabeth is entirely justified in keeping her distance from D. To have endured his treatment and then to discover that he received the letters and did not speak to her about them or attempt to check the veracity of the story of her virtue being known to be lost in her home village would be just crushing. That others had full confidence in her while he, who supposedly loved her, turned away from her is pretty unforgivable. I suspect there will be no HEA in this story. What a chump your darcy is! |
