Wizarding Britain is a corrupt cesspool, but Crouch should really be in Azkaban. Getting a murderer, torturer, rapist and mind controller out of the maximum security area of Azkaban and casting a spell on him repeatedly for years of which one casting should put him away forever are crimes of such severity that even the corrupt Wizengamot should convict him. He shouldn't have any part of the tournament anymore.

Your history of house elves reminds me of something. Replace "Goblins" with "Nords", "High Elves" with "Falmer" and "Humans" with "Dwemer" and you get the same from a different fandom. And just like the house elves have degenerated bodies and speaking pattern the Falmer were blinded and had their souls corrupted into beast souls.

Ah, and the house elves don't have something like the "Twin Lamps" because it wouldn't work.

I think I have yet to see a story where one of the students casts a Colloportus on Lockfart's office door so he can't flee. He's the one who riled up the pixies, they probably would focus a little on him during their destruction orgy. That'd be funny!

I've forgotten how Rowling described finding Mrs. Norris. But the movie scene is such utter bullcrap, it's unbelievable. The toilet is on the second floor. Why would the Slytherins leave the great hall and walk upstairs when their common room is in the dungeons and everyone hates them and might attack them? There's a main staircase arrangement with moving stairs and all. Why would half the student population take a side staircase? And why would Ravenclaw and Gryffindor students enter the corridor on the second floor instead of climbing up to the seventh, where their common rooms are? And when two corridor filling masses of students enter a corridor from both ends, what happens when they meet in the middle? Will they beat each other up for the right of first passage? Hex each other? Just press on and hope that their total mass is larger than the others'? Just stand there looking stupid? In fact, they convened on that cat. But why should they do something that stupid and illogical?

I think Harry should've done something. He isn't Dumbledore's boy hero to jump into it with both feet, but after McGonagall's story it's possible or even probable that they don't know what it is. Dumbledore knows, at least canon!Dumbledore must know. But he doesn't warn anyone appropriately. At least a warning should be within Harry's willingness to help save others.

My mind just flashed to the fact that Sirius would adore this Harry, harem of girls, castrating and kicking people butts, putting Snape in his place, and super powerful!

Nice story, but a bit rushed :S it's hard to care about what happen if there is too little substance to make a connection to the story. Not that it was bad, you had nice ideas and I bet that it would have been epic if there was more... substance.
